Beneath the hail

Quiet. The eyes are floating on the dungeon.

It is as dark as a dream. The snowballs are broken into a snowy snow.

I can not wake up, my eyes are open like any of their memories.

They are not

There is a need for light and warmth

In order to open the son's botany, the ancient books

When the mole is empty, they are cocky

In the foyer of the gazebo, a man hangs and lives in despair.

All of this goes on inside the house, between the stalls and the ziggurat.

The wind is blowing, the wind blows like a marble. The memories are frozen and sparkling.

The men are warm and weary from below.

Writing poetry is not natural. It involves conscious effort to omit, to weed, all excesses, excesses. The creation of flowing, natural poetry is a considerable achievement. Ayelet Shimoni's first collection of poems is ripe, crystallized and piercing. There are songs with wonderful moments. There are songs that make the reader want to point at the text, turn around for a moment, in a circle, and say: "Look and learn, that's the way to do it!"

Shimoni's poetics are inhibited, thrifty, taut, a suppressed fire, a beam of light exploring the subject from all sides. Exact noun and image combinations create elaborate, elaborate metaphors, a structure within a metaphorical structure, like a sequence of Russian wooden dolls. The file demonstrates a pleasurable technical maturity; Control of line division techniques; Irony and double images. Shimoni deviates from metaphorical and emotional research paths, but does so without losing the superstructure, the central theme. Shimoni enumerates, analyzes, and spreads a mindset, relationship dynamics, a political or social issue, or a natural phenomenon, as a reflection or an allegory of an emotional state or relationship without losing the poetic, poetic, trusting, consistent and coherent basis.
