Niçin oruç tutmalıyız?

Mümin, herhangi bir menfaat düşüncesi ile değil yalnız Allah’ın emri olduğu için ve onun rızasını kazanmak maksadıyla oruç tutmalıdır. Orucunu bedene, topluma kazandırdığı hususların bulunması ile beraber, insan orucu bunlar için değil sadece Allah emrettiği için tutmalıdır.
Hz. Ali (radıyallâhu anh) diyor ki:

• Karşılığında bir menfaat umarak yapılan ibadet, ticaretçinin ibadetidir.
• Korku sebebiyle yapılan ibadet kölenin ibadetidir.
• Allah’ın nimetlerine şükretmek maksadıyla yapılan ibadet, hür olan kimsenin ibadetidir. (Ali el-Kârî, Mirkâtü’l-Mefâtih, 2/135)
  Makbul olan ibadet, Hz. Ali’nin de belirttiği gibi Allah’ın nimetlerine karşı şükran borcunu yerine getirerek onun rızasını kazanmak maksadıyla yapılan ibadettir.
  Allah, ancak böyle samimi bir düşünce ile yapılan ibadetleri kabul eder.

Sevgili peygamberimiz’in (s.a.v.) şöyle buyurmuştur; 'Ramazan ayının ilk on gününde rahmet, ikinci on gününde mağfiret, üçüncü on gününde ise cehennem azabından kurtuluşa vesilesidir'.

Her şeyin bir kapısı vardır. İbadetlerin kapısıysa oruçtur.
Oruç sabrın, sabır da imanın yarısıdır.
Aç duranın idraki artar, zekası açılır.
Tefekkür, ibadetin yarısı, az yemekse tamamıdır.
Az yiyenin içi nurla dolar ve Allahü teâlâ, az yiyip içen ve bedeni hafif olan mümini sever.
İnsan kalbi tarladaki ekin, yemek ise yağmur gibidir. Fazla su ekini kuruttuğu gibi, fazla gıda da kalbi öldürür.
İbadetin en tatlı olduğu zaman, karnımın belime yapıştığı zamandır

Why should we fast?

The believer should fast not because of any interest in thought, but only because it is God's command and to earn his favor. The human body must keep the body, not only for the sake of these things, but for the sake of Allah.
Hz. Ali (Radikalalluhu anh) says:

• Worship done by hoping for a benefit in the face of the trader's worship.
• Worship done for fear is the worship of the clan.
• Worship done with the purpose of giving thanks to the blessings of Allah is the worship of anyone who is free. (Ali al-Kari, Mirkât al-Mefatih, 2/135)
  The worship which is acceptable is Hz. As Ali has stated, gratitude to the blessings of Allah is a worship done with the purpose of earning his favor by fulfilling the debt.
  Allah accepts worship only with such a sincere thought.

Our beloved prophet (s.a.v.) said: 'Mercy in the first ten days of the month of Ramadan, forgiveness in the second ten days, and salvation in the third ten days of the hell.'

Fasting is patience, patience is half of belief.
Understand, half the worship, all the food.
The little eater is full of light and loves a believer who eats allah and drinks lightly and is light on the body.
The human heart is the crop of the field and the food is like fat. Food is more water, more nutrients kill the heart.
