WHAT IS YOUR CRITERIA FOR SUPPORTING STEEMIANS OR PROJECTS ON STEEMIT?

Steemit is a place where has you know, we all need to support each other succeed. What I mean by supporting each other, am referring to supporting each other with upvotes and any thing that you can do that will make others succeed. I am sure that we all have different criterias for supporting each other.

For example, some people's criteria for supporting others is high quality, but this is not my criteria for supporting others. Steemit is not strictly a blogging site, so emphasizing on high quality post might drive people away has not everybody is a professional blogger.

In one of @taskmaster4450 recent post, where he elaborated better, you will find out that emphasizing on high quality post might not be too good for steemit. If you want to read, you can see it here https://steemit.com/busy/@taskmaster4450/time-to-make-steem-a-huge-success-by-dropping-the-focus-on-quality

So for me, my criteria for supporting others is not high quality post.

I have several criteria for supporting others. I like to support those with a long-term view about steem because I also have a longtime view about steem. Anytime I want to start supporting someone consistently with the little upvotes I have, I like to check their steemit account.

If I check their steemit account and I see them powering down, I feel discouraged supporting them. When you power down it looks to me that you are not invested in steem long-term, so I feel discouraged supporting you. Again When I see you powering down, especially those with little account, little accounts like those with steem power below 1000, it tells me that you don't care about others on the platform because the value of your votes are already small and when you power it down further, it further reduces the value of your votes and so when you upvote others post there will be no value there for others to enjoy.

So I like to support steemians who don't power down indiscriminately and who have long-term believe in steemit.

Your turn, what is your criteria for supporting others steemians and projects on steemit?

@yaanivapeji.

Sort:

One of my criteria is ''investing''. I support who invests to power up their Steem power. They are so important for the cash flow for Steemit as minnow workers who contribute good content for Steemit.

Yah, investing is another cool reason @chorock.

Though it is only few people who have the means to invest in steem power.😄

Good question. I support people who I interact with regularly, who also support me, and who are here for the long haul. I want to support believers in this platform who will be there for me, too. Quality matters but I it's not the only thing. I also upvote people who put together posts that I consider to be good for the long term future of this platform. But because I'm a lowly mid-level minnow, it's not my job to take care of the entire platform. My job is to be a good Steemian and create networks of mutual support with other Steemians. By that, I don't mean circle-jerking without regard for anything.

Yah, I understand you @markkujantunen.

Yah, offgridlife, cool one. Artists are cool people.

I spent years wasting my time Sharing my work on Facebook and Instagram and Twitter.... then Steemit came along and actually paid me for all my hard work... I want to help other artists find the same success here on Steemit.

That is cool @offgridlife.

Did you invest fiat on steem?

No.. I have no extra fiat to invest. All my fiat goes to buying food, water, and other necessities of life.

Yah, @indigoocean, this is an interesting one.

I also support people who make interesting post too, like your own 😄.

Planning to invest on steem very soon and will be doing some contest in football that will favour many people , especially minnows. By next month.

Wow!! That is cool. It takes a lot of mind to invest in cryptos these days.
