Who Was The First User You Followed On Steemit? Why? - May 30 Days Writing Challenge by @dragosroua
This is my seventeenth post in this challenge. My previous entry to this challenge:
Name Top 3 All Time Favorite Movies - May 30 Days Writing Challenge by @dragosroua.
Looks like the first Steemian I started following was @pedramhd.
I started following him on 2017.06.20, but I don't know why. I don't remember.
To be honest, I didn't even remembered his username. I checked my first actions on Steemit on Steemd and I found that he was the first Steemian that I started following.
By the way, he is not active nowadays.
His last blog post was published 10 months ago (on 2017.07.24).
The last time he commented on a post was 11 months ago (on 2017.07.02)
The last time he upvoted a post was 8 months ago (on 2017.10.21).
Due to his long time inactivity on Steemit, I unfollowed him today (2018.05.20).
Before I pressed the unfollow button, he had 1058 followers, now he have 1057.
Probably more people will unfollow him as they notice his long time inactivity.
However he received a delegation of 5.975 Steem Power from @steem on 2018.01.09 and 1 Steem also from @steem on 2018.05.16.
I don't understand why an inactive Steemit account is receiving delegations, but that is another story.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and thank you to all of you for your continuous support!
See you later!
Many of that 1000 followers are maybe inactive accounts too, or people who forgot to clean their follow list...
Yes, probably.
Now I am starting to understand why mostly only 5-10 people are interacting with me under my posts, while I currently have 780 followers. Most of my followers are probably inactive.
Inactive or bots. From that 1 million users that Steem has, ~10.000 are active users, if I remember correctly so basically for 100 followers, you will have only one active follower that may be human. With this said, that follower could see or could not see your post in his news feed, considering that he will not check his whole news feed daily. This somehow explains the lack of activity here. I hope we can pump these numbers in future :)
