SEC17 WK:#1: Forgiveness unites family
Congratulations again to Steemkids and Parents for being among the hosting communities. I will be dropping for the first entry in the community given the nature of the contest topic. that bothers us on our first point of call being the family.
I will be drawing some perspective from the holy book (bible) where it made some emphasis on the need to forgive one another. It sees it as the bedrock to achieving greater things and opening doors. Grudge keepers should be aware and desist from acts of unforgiveness.
According to the books. of Ephesians 4:32, simply states that we should be kind and compassionate to everyone even as our Lord Jesus Christ forgave us of our trespasses. Also, Colossians 3:13 told us to bear and forgive each other rather than keep grievances against someone.
I know we've heard this saying..."To err is human and to forgive is DIVINE".
A knowledge of these stated words is enough to drive the importance of forgiveness in our everyday lives. We cannot remove forgiveness and the peace it offers when done.
I can remember a clear life story where forgiveness plays an important role in my family. It is only when we have in-house misunderstandings that we will get to value the importance of forgiveness when it comes knocking. I mean issues that undermine the relative peace we enjoy at home and within our space.
There was this wedding that brought all of my siblings to my home. It was my younger sister's wedding and it happens to be my favorite sibling. We had all the arrangements topnotch in place and just as the wedding came and passed like every other one.
But something sparked up and it was unfortunate that it did. A misunderstanding that got my spouse, mom, and elder sibling all roped into. I felt so sad for the moment and the months that followed through the era of these grievances. It was a total face-off between me and my parents at home. So many things were said out of anger and it was like a house dividing against itself.
After a few months of this burden and face-off, we had room for reconciliation. After this was done, it was like a burden off my shoulders. I didn't need to carry face for this matter anymore.
One thing about forgiveness is that, it removes unnecessary bitterness from you and burden that we should ordinarily don't need to bear. And when this isn't checked on time, it brings about more harm and causes directly or indirectly to us.
The home we could visit and stayed off for over months due to this face-off, we now visited and laughed as if nothing happened. It was wrong anyway to have allowed this grievance tarried for a long time in the first place but as humans, we tend to misfire in our upset mood.
Keeping unforgiven moments around us isn't the best for us as they limit us rather than uplift us. It comes with evil thoughts against one another because the heart of man is desperately wicked. But come to think of it, why should I have this face-off for a longer time than necessary when it was all about family affairs?
We have to always display acts of forgiveness in all we do. There's no need to keep malice or sleep over it.

Forgiveness is key in uniting families. The Bible emphasizes the need to forgive one another, as it opens doors and leads to greater things. Holding grudges only causes harm. Your Personal experience showed that forgiveness brought peace and restored relationships within the family.

Forgiveness plays a very vital role in every relationships and family, it will make you to relinquish and purge out every hurt you may have in your heart from someone offending you. We are all imperfect beings, that is why this prayer should not be far from us; "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And as children of God we should always forgive no matter the weight of harm caused. I wish you success

There's something unique about your post, it enlightened us that there's no need to keep Malice instead we should forgive and move on, the Bible in Ephesians brings the light on your post, Jesus forgave us for our tresspass and we should do exactly to our friends or family. Your post also highlights the important of forgiveness such as it removes unnecessary bitterness in our heart and the burden inside us, your post highlight that keeping unforgiven moment around limits us instead of uplifting us and the worst part is that it accumulate evil spirit which could easily fuel to commiting a rough sin against God creature.
