Travel Pro Gear #6: Three Travel Pro Items You Need to be Travel Pro!

in #travel7 years ago

Hey there my Steemit friends! Here are three more items I travel with and why!

Capsules

This is probably the highlight Travel Pro Item of the three. While in Chiang Mai Thailand I purchased many different herbs and spices to take as supplements. I also purchased the empty capsules to put them in. So I've been traveling around with a bunch of empty capsules, waiting for the next time I find a bag of powdered turmeric or something else interesting to fill these with. Since going to old markets around the world is a hobby of mine, I just never know when the opportunity will arise, but when it does I'm ready with these empty capsules!

Bathing Suit

This is my Bathing suit. It's an obvious no brainer travel item. One thing I can say is that some destinations I go to I'll ware this every day, and some destinations I won't wear it at all. But one thing is for sure, I don't ever go to places that are generally cold. So traveling with a bathing suit is a must for just about any long term traveler.

Cough Drops

This is a popular brand of cough drops I got in Thialand. Fortunately I haven't had to take in several months; but they are good to have on hand. Sometimes on long flights or sleeping in a highly air conditioned room will give me a soar throat. So I've been traveling with these ever since I came down with a soar throat just before leaving Bangkok in November. Since then I've been taking large quantities of vitamin C, which has really boosted my immune system and kept me from getting ill in general.

Thank for checking out three more items that you need to be "Travel Pro!" Until next time -Dan "World Travel Pro!"

I would add some active charcoal in those capsules... so important to have while traveling!

It's in my bag! :) You're one post ahead of me! lol

That's cool! To bring all species, clever ;)

That's actually pretty cool to be bringing empty capsules. I mean, who would have thought of it :) This gives me an idea what to bring for my next trip. Thanks for sharing!

You are so welcome! Thank you for the lovely comment. :)

The supplement needed traveller
Must be available when travelling
All information that is very helpful
Resteem you post

Thank you so much buddy. Glad you found this info helpful too!

Sam's friends are addicted to Fisherman's Friend. They offer to him in every Uni class as a sweet more than a medicine, yet we guess it's a good purpose for both.
Well done for making your own supplements as some of these organic stores can sell them for a lot. We guess when you travel a lot, like yourself, this is a necessity.

Well, I wouldn't say necessity. But it's important to stay on top of your health. When I stumble across something in a market like powdered ginseng for 1/100 the price of what it would cost back home. It just makes sense to take advantage of the savings and health benefits. So glad you guys have been enjoying my blog. I'm still struggling with the poor interenet here in the Galapagos.

Leading from this post, we don't know if you have posted about this, but it would be great to hear about your worst sickness when travelling aboard and how you overcame it. Just thinking about the ginseng you mentioned and how Sam is taking it now as he is sick.
With 11 years of travelling, there must have been a few sicknesses that stick out. 😣
Keep persisting that poor internet in Galapagos!

I did mention it in my how to avoid food poisoning post. I got sick as dog here in Ecuador it was rough. I think you guys started following me like a week after I posted that. That post was a big hit Earned me about $800 at going rate at the time. I was thrilled. Great info I shared in that too. Thanks for the encouragement. Internet if working a hair better this morning. Soon will be back in the mainland. Looking forward to it. Hope you guys are well! -Dan

Ah yes we must have missed that. We'll have a look through your posts and have a read of it tomorrow. Wow! Big bucks, that's like a monthly budget for you ;) hahaha
Some luck with the internet finally! Hopefully, you enjoy your last days in Galapagos and safe journey back to the mainland! :)

It is like a month's budget :) I could retire to Guatamala on what I made in January alone! lol hahah not exactly :)

Interesting items. Not sure I'd want to add my own ideas to the capsules though. I always travel with cold relief capsules. I like to catch it fast!

Smart choice with the cold relief capsules.

What about sunscreen as a 4th item to the list? ;-)
