Yesterday was a great day for receiving news for our family.
I went with my brother to his oncologist appointment, to get the results of his Pet scan. The doctor reports that his Pet scan was clean and to return in 90 days for labs.
At the six month mark, he'll need another Pet scan and I'm sure that will continue for the coming years.
My brother doesn't show alotta emotion normally, but I could tell he was relieved once he heard the news.
After I took him home, I was listening to the local news and found out something that brought more joy to my world.
The San Antonio City Manager announced her retirement, and the end of her term would be no later than June 2019.
This woman made more money than the President of these United States and the Governor of Texas 🇨🇱 combined. Plus, she created a job for her husband.
Last month the residents of San Antonio voted on Proposition "B" that would limit the pay of future City Manager's to 10 times the lowest city employee, which is around $250k. It didn't affect the current City Manager, but maybe she got the message.
Thirteen years was about twelve years too long for her tenure.
