Quilts for the Christmas season. Along with some thoughts
This quilt is almost complete. Its a warm comfortable quilt. The amount of time required to complete a quilt is staggering. I would never have imagined.
I have spoken to my wife about doing a post every Monday for @needleworkmonday. She will try and make it happen. There is no time for her to do it this Monday, today. So I will assist in the first one.
There is a lot going on here. And I understand why she couldn’t do a post for today. Between the holiday, kids being here and of course having to take care of me during this stressful period I do understand why the caution.

I should have kept some kind of track on the amount of Steem I have added to my account since the down turn. The low Steem does not bother me at all. Since I joined steem back on the 1 st of February I have had one objected. Increase SP and build relationships. Its my opinion these two things go teoghter and are the pathway to success.
Relationships are not built over night. They take time , commitment and support.
Stability is a draw back to people getting involved in crypto currency. Let’s face it the stock market has people questioning investing so why wouldn’t crypto. As time goes on the young will accept it as if it was second hand as they replace the generation before them. The development of this new technology will not reach its potential for another 2-5 years. Just like the way computers came into our homes.
I grew up with a slide ruler and when calculators came into being they were forbidden in the classroom. Now computers (laptops) are the norms. The near future is going to be something to behold like no other time before it.
Tomorrow not only starts cycle 4 but the results of the CT scan. Big day ahead.

The quilt is amazing - and as sewing is not natural to me (i only started to learn) I can hardly imagine how your wife could make such a piece of art while caring for the family... wow. Tell her my compliments.

Welcome to needleworkmonday! Your wife has made some delightful quilts. I especially like the large one with the way that the block's link together to create the diagonal lines of separation.

Hello @wolfhart! I would like to welcome you and your wife to #NeedleWorkMonday! Thank you so much for taking the time to post for her and give us the honor of seeing her hard handiwork! Quilting is an absolute beauty and a handful of work. I tip my hat off to all of our quilters! She did an amazing job on both of these quilts, they are beautiful. I’m not sure what else she is adding to the second one but it looks completed to me! Of course that’s coming from a crocheter and beginner sewer and not a quilter!
Please let her know whenever she is ready and has her time to share with us she is more than welcome here. We aren’t going anywhere ;) We love seeing projects come to life and most of our sharing time consists of showing the journey.
I love what you said about the market. Stability is definitely a drawback for many. I too believe in a few more years crypto will be the “norm” and not so foreign and more and more people will realize this is the way to go. I’m just glad my husband decided to start us on early and I am actually enjoying learning about it and finding one’s to invest in now.

That 's a great quilt! My mother is bringing a quilt that she has made for the kids when she arrives later this week! It is an art that has lost a bit of traction, but I gather, like knitting it is coming back into vogue?

No and it is something we are discussing. It will require a laptop,smartphone or another device that we do not have in order for her to access an account.

Many years ago I decided to make a quilt. Sewing straight seams isn't one of my talents. The pattern was supposed to look like birds touching beaks in the center. Mine did not look like that. Then I decided to make just one square and turn it into a pillow. Sad pillow. Sad story. I know how much time I spent on that one square, and have deep respect for your wife, her quilts are beautiful!
I will pass this on to her. She works hard on them. I need to get her a quilting sewing machine instead of this generic machine.
