It is once again my pleasure to be back with you all friends and families for the social studies lesson which has a theme to do with the purpose of marriage. Though i am not married i cannot really relate to it so it's good that i learn about it now. 😁😁

What is marriage?
This can be described as the formally recognized union of two people in a personal relationship.

Marriage is a bond of union as well. It is a union which is performed culturally and legally between two people called spouses.
In my own understanding marriage is the union between two people who come together as husband and wife.

Marriage brings two different families together, both the man and the woman, making them one flesh, that was how God purposed it to be.

List and explain steps to take towards marriage that is peculiar to your country customs and traditions

• Find a person of interest: This is the point where people usually say 'i crush on him/her' they might have seen something in the person that they admire, probably good looking, intelligent, and so many others.

• Courtship: This now is a step where someone says 'i think i love Him/her's in this steps both of them take time to get to know each other more, they spend time together and get to know more about each other hobbies likes, dislikes and see if they suit each other.

• Proposal: When they are fully convinced that they really are in love with each other and then the man locks their love down with a proposal, asking of the woman will marry him, If the woman says yes we know the rest of the story.

• Marriage: This is the final step, in this case th two has already made up their mind and so they get prepared for their wedding ceremony, which can be held at any time they choose. This is the happiest day of both couples.

Preconditions for marriage

In my locality there are two main preconditions for marriage.

• Payments of Bride price: A man finds the woman he loves and they start dating, in order to legally marry her without a wedding ceremony, they would have to agree to whatever the family hives him to bring, the make a list of materials the grooms family needs to being for the marriage of their daughter. This is called a bride price.

• Lastly the two families will have to agree within each other in other for them to be a happy one, they will unite and love each other and the elders will bless them, giving them their encouragement, this shows that nother families are in support of their wedding arrangement.

That is all about marriage in my society.
