✏ Draw with Me: Marilyn Monroe [Portrait in Graphite] 🌹✨
Welcome Creative Friends,
I made the sketch with a Mongolian pencil or HB, then I clarified the lines a bit more with the blur and then later, I started with the shading.
The most important thing before making stronger shadows is to make a fine base with the same Hb in an enveloping and meticulous way, covering each pore of the paper so that the next shadows are fairly uniform.
As I was progressing in the portrait I was working progressively with the different graphite pencils such as 2B, 3B, 4B, 6B and 8B. Increasingly increasing the tone of the shadows with the different pencils thus adding greater depth and volume to the portrait.

Excellent post, I like how you explained in detail the realization of your drawing. The portraits are difficult to make because the shading is more delicate and smooth, it is very easy to make a mistake somewhere and completely damages the final work. Post very complete and with great quality. Thanks for sharing, Regards.
Thank you very much or your comment friend, and I totally agree are drawings that have to be done with a lot of patience and detail, because certainly so you have the perfect proportions of the sketch if you put the shadows where they do not go you can change and completely damage the portrait. I'm glad you liked my article, thanks for the support, hugs <3

Muchas gracias Amigos.
Muchas gracias !!! <3
Wow your skill is phenomenal and your eye for value is second to none. Which part of a piece like this do you find the hardest?
Thanks friend!!! Well, I think the most difficult part of portraiture in general is the sketch, because it is the basis of everything, because if it is not good, the result provably so the shadows are very nice will look weird and disproportionate, of course with the practice those details are being perfected.
Even the sketch of this drawing I did twice, because I was not convinced the first attempt and the second hardest thing for me was the hair, light hair are difficult too hahaha
Oh wow! Yes that’s very true, the foundations must be correct from the word go. Your dedication in getting the drawing spot on has really paid off and it must feel so good to see the finished piece.
Thanks friend! :D
