Vehicle Photography: Kalesa Ride

This is a Kalesa, a horse-drawn calash used in the Philippines. This transportation was introduced in our country in the 18th century when we were colonized by Spain. Nowadays, you can rarely see this in the streets excepts for those tourist-frequented areas and some rural areas. Calle Crisologo is one of these places since this is a place where you can experience a piece from the Spanish time.

This is my friend, Epay, who asked Mr. Kutsero (the Tagalog name for the Kalesa driver) if she can climb on the Kalesa so she can have a couple of photos with it. She pretended to be the kalesa driver but I don’t think she pulled it off. And that man by the table is Mr. Kutsero which I believe is silently judging her. LOL
