Colourful Photography: Loom Weave Scarves
Ever since I was a kid, my 2 older brothers continuously teased me about my neck. They always say I got extra long neck. LOL This made me become fascinated about Long Neck Hill Tribe and it was a goal of mine to see them in person. During my birthday last year, I finally achieved that goal. We visited the Karen Long Neck Village in Chiang Rai.
The Karen are a tribal group who have historically lived in the hills on the Myanmar (formerly Burma) side of the Thai border. Best recognized for their elongated necks, the Karen women wear heavy brass rings around their necks, forearms, and shins. - Source
When we got there, we saw rows of stalls just like a local flea market. It seemed like each household had their own stall where they sell different souvenirs like these colourful scarves.

Karen women are known for their weaving skills which is done on a backstrap loom. Here is one of the tribe member weaving a scarf and practicing their impressive craft. Most of the ones we've seen were in front of their booth weaving scarves which I think is also set up to attrack tourists or visitors.
That's good
Thank you @aslam8 :)
