Kalesa was once a main mode of transportation for the filipinos
It was introduced by the Spanish colonizers in the 18th century
and is mostly used by nobles and high ranking people
until the second world war
now through the test of time it still remains
but not as a primary transportation but instead is being used as part of tourism
