Weekend Freewrite 3/3/2018: Single Prompt Option: cinnamon

Hi everyone! It sure has been a rough 3 days around here and that is why I have not posted or replied to any of your comments. We had dangerous, sustained winds of 60-65 MPH which lasted until about 2 hours ago. Schools were closed on Friday because of the high winds which was a first in my lifetime. Before the high winds began, we had 7" of rain in the past 6 days and the ground was saturated. I was just waiting for my neighbors big, tall trees to come crashing down on my house and/or my car. Thankfully, that never happened. We sure were lucky because the worse that happened in my neighborhood was the power going off twice, and all of our trashcans were missing for a few days. It could have been so much worse and I am grateful that the winds have finally calmed down. My prayers are with everyone who was affected by these dangerous winds. I listened to the news today and thankfully, no lives were lost.

After Cindy and Steve Spicer were married, they purchased the large hill located 20 miles from the town they grew up in and named it, "Cinna Hill." It was a perfect place to grow cinnamon trees and to build their dream. They had a factory built at the base of the hill after all of the trees were planted, and Cinn All, Inc. put the entire town's people back to work, and put the town on the map. The company sold all-natural cinnamon in every form possible and their most popular item was "Cinnamon Fusion;" a warm, cinnamon scent that could be inserted into any object of any material desired. Two weeks before opening day, an adorable small dog appeared on the factory grounds and when nobody claimed the dog, the Spicers adopted her. She had brown fur with a red tint, so it was only natural for her to be named, "Cinnamon." She was the well-known and beloved dog of Cinn All, Inc. and their motto was, "Don't bark up the wrong tree. We love our trees and they are pesticide free."
