Spring Flowers-Forsythia-Part-8

FORSYTHIA
Forsythia is a hardy flowering shrub that blooms early in the spring. They are in the the family Oleaceae (olive family) and are native to East Asia and Eastern Europe.
When they bloom, you know that spring has arrived. The flowers represent anticipation. Enjoy the flowers while you can because they only last for 10-14 days.
Forsythia shrubs grow to approximately 8-10 feet tall and they grow very fast.
The pretty dark green leaves grow when the flowers begin to fall.
According to arborday.org, "Forsythia is named after William Forsythe" who was an English Horticulturist.

There are so many things that don't last long at all when they bloom in the spring. It's a shame.

Here in my country we have a saying that says something like this: "Yellow is what it looks beauty, green is born wherever it wants" and that is when you travel through our country and see next to its roads our national tree ("El Araguaney") , with its yellow flowers, the truth is a wonderful show:

Those trees are beautiful! I would rather have them instead of our Forsythia bushes. And I love the saying as well. It is a shame that they don't stay yellow year round. Thanks for showing these to me @cjao20. : )
