Everything is Awesome #2 : My commute

in #life7 years ago

I'm feeling a bit sluggish today on the train to work. I'm reminded by the empty seats how lucky I am to have such a commute.

I love how the train always gets me where I need to go, and how it's rarely late.
I love how leaving the house an hour or two later than most commuters means I always get a seat and rarely have to be squished up against the door.
I love how my train takes me one direction to work and one direction to play.
I love how I get just enough time to do something I want to do, meditate, read a book, study, write something, talk to someone or play some game.
I love how there are all kinds of people to observe.
I love how everything being on the same line means I don't have to pay for a transfer.
I love how fast the Express train is.
I love how much water I get to see as I go across the city and finally make it to the coast.
I love how this line takes me from one side of the city to the other quicker than any other line.
I love how silent it is.
I love when it's 11:30 and it's not silent and everyone is drunk.
I love how the train tells me how much time until each stop.
I love the informative display.
I love the softness of the seats, I wish every subway in the world had these seats.
I love the air conditioner and the heating.
I love how smooth a ride it always is.
I love how it's a short journey relative to what it was a few years ago.
I love how few surprises I run into that make riding less comfortable.
I love my commute.

My commute wasn't so fun. I was in a tricycle and it hurt my buttocks in strange ways.

Bicycle (5 mins)-metro (10 minutes)-15 minute walk out of the ridiculously oversized station-bus (for 1 hour)- work. And reverse at the end of the day.

LONG. ASS. COMMUTE

Sounds lovely indeed :>)

Would love to see a picture of it though
