When Steemit Doesn't Need To Be Explain, That Is When We Made ItsteemCreated with Sketch.

Ironically, you know steemit has made it when people are not talking about steemit directly. Okay there will be a lot of that too, but we want to get to the point where people are talking about the posts and articles on the site and steemit is just referenced. It does not need to be explained in the article, just mentioned. You do not want to see 'the post came from a steemit, which is a social media platform that pays users for their content', but instead, 'it came from steemit.' That's it. We want it to be a trusted and known site where people go for their content.

In order to get there, we need to post quality content that can only be read on this site. We need accounts or 'personalities' that help bring life to the site. We do need time, no matter how fast it grows, people need to get used to it, but we can't expect it will just happen. And we will need to start promoting the content on the site instead of the site itself. Maybe we are not there yet and, as the numbers are proving, we are growing very well introducing people to this revolutionary new system. But at some point it needs to shift to content.

Your content is your content wherever it is posted and if it is posted on steemit exclusively, this can lead people to come here to get access to it. To be honest we are not there at this point, we are at the point where a lot of new users are on and are trying to make money. This is one of the only site that really rewards people for their work, and I think this is what is causing the influx of people. This will bring in a lot of people too, but if we can get that growth, with the growth of a content platform that people do not need to have explained to them, we can see major numbers.

But for now, I know you have to spend an hour explaining it to your friend when you tell them to make an account :p

I agree, like how people would say "Google it", or "Youtube it" or "I shared a status on Facebook". Everybody knows about them and we need to keep the quality posts rolling. In addition, sharing content here on other social media platforms! Then only would we gather more attention to this wonderful place? Great Article!

One cool idea would be to dedicate, let's say .1 %, of all new STEEM to a special fund, from which an A-class advertisement firm will be paid to run the biggest and baddest advertisement campaign ever to promote Steemit. This will definately have a positive return on investment. It's like a Disney World commercial on TV, that shit also brings in crowds of people...

:D

Thanks for post, I totally agree that once we stop referring to it by name it will be a part of the mainstream media that we normally use on a day-to-day basis. Also I would say we are miles ahead of facebook for posting quality content since it has a lot of bad content on it :)

Agreed. I cant wait for the day where I can just strike up a conversation about something I read earlier from steemit, without any extra explanations. I have a feeling that's going to be the reality sooner than later

💯 agree, with tech/ crypto evolving extremely fast it will happen soon !

Does make a lot of sense so steemit and keep on doing it. Love it.
