8 Quick Tips For Steemit And Steem Leo Users

If you are new to the site or sites that reward you for your content welcome! This is the new wave of content and social media sites where cryptocurrency and blockchain tech make the sites work better for the users and not just the people who own the site. If you have posted content before this won't be too different than what you are used to but either way here are 10 tips to help you have more success here.

1.) Make sure you add a photo to your post

This makes a huge difference when people are scrolling through the feed if they will click on your post or not. A post without a photo looks unprofessional. It is easy to do all you have to do is click on the plus icon on the side of the editor that says quick insert and choose a photo. It can be yours or if you don't have one you can use Pixabay or pexels. They have lots of great photos that are free to use. Pick one that fits your post and add it at the bottom of the page.

2.) Do not Shell Other Coins Or Get Quick Schemes

I have seen a few posts from people about how to make money online. Now this is a big topic but if you are not providing a new take and a well writen article it will come off as a sale pitch. Please do not write a short post about air drops or how you can make a lot of money doing this or that. People will scroll past you or downvote you and move on.

3.) Comment!

If you are looking to get attention, and this is true on almost all social/content sites, comment, comment, comment. It is the easiest and best way to get your name out there. People might click on you to see what you post and if they know that you have engaged with them there is a post they might engage with you back.

4.) Quality Matters But Don't Stress Too Much When Coin Value Is Low Or The Site Is Not Busy

This is a very subjective topic but if you want to do well here but the work in. You are paid by how many upvotes you get and the SP of those who upvoted you. A trending post with a lot of high upvotes will be worth a lot more at the end of the month than a bunch of spam with zero upvotes. I recommend 300-700 words for now until the site gets more popular.

5.) The Price Of steem Changes Constantly

You might have noticed in your rewards that the USD value you have is changing everyday. This is because you are rewarded in steem and the value of that coin goes up and down everyday. Your steem balance will not change though. Don't get discouraged when the value is low. It can change quickly in crypto and if it does you will be happy with the coins you have made.

6.) Use Communities Properly

Steem Leo is a site for investing. There are other sites if your interests lie elsewhere. And there is also communities coming to steemit so you can post the content you want to post in the right space.

7.) You Kind Of Own A Piece Of The Company

When you get some steem or Leo tokens it is almost as if you own stock in a company. Sure there are many differences but what is true is the better the site does the better the coin should do. So please treat the company like you own it and help it grow by telling friends and posting quality work.

8.) Do Not Plagiarise

This should be a no-brainer but just in case you do not know, do NOT plagiarise others work. It can get you banned from the site.
