Once again, the good ol' Royal Mint has managed to swindle another £65($78US) out of me.....

Ever since the RM brought out the much anticipated and now sort after, first coloured, "Peter Rabbit", coin back in 2016, they've consistently churned out coloured coin after coloured coin after coloured coin.

I've kind of shot myself in the foot (once again), by buying the 2018 version of this coin so now I guess I'm stuck buying every year....

I shouldn't really complain, I do actually rather like the "snowman" design and the film does actually bring back some great memories. I'm a child of the 80s and I do always remember watching this on TV on Christmas eve.

We watched it last year with 1/2pint too, and although it's technically a silent film (with music), he was in ore and sat all the way through without speaking or moving. The film still manages to work its magic on even the children of today.

It's still a lot of money for very little silver... Weighing in at just 8g of .925 silver (sterling). They probably could have done with dropping the mintage figures too, although 27500 doesn't sound much, it still makes the coin easy to obtain and probably won't sell out anytime soon.

I guess I'll just add this to my ever growing pile of over priced silver and hope that one day 1/2pint will appreciate everything I try and save for him now.

As far as an investment goes, I didn't even strike lucky with a low mintage number. 13004 puts me almost smack-bang in the middle, and not even a cool number too boot!!

Like I said, I'll store them away safe, and hope that one day the world will truly appreciate the value of silver and how cool these coins are. Maybe, once the set is complete, the demand will increase and drag the prices up??!!?? I'll let 1/2pint have a little play with it tonight, he understands Christmas is coming soon, so this will really get him bouncing, just in time for his mother to come home from work and annoy!!
