Got to Catch em All
A little walk around the market sometimes you would see things that is delightful. After coming out from the grocery we passed by a shop and said to my wife, "Hold up let's go back". To my surprise cactus for sale and different species. To me they looked like different sorts pokemon monsters. I wanted to collect them all!

A bit disappointed that I did not bring my camera with me. Who would bring a camera going to the grocery? Anyway had my phone with me and it would be better than nothing. Not familiar with cactus species I only know that they are spiny and lives in the desert. Let me do a little research and see if we could name some of them.
An eye candy for me and I figured they would look good on my boring desk. I'll have a friend beside me as I write content. I wanted at least 3 but my wife said only one. But I want to collect them all!
What shall I get? So many options and they all look so beautiful. What would be your choice.
This pretty one is called a Rose cactus. Something that my aunt would love. Since I have only one choice for now I would need to make it count. I may need to pass for now for this one.
This one I think is called the jellybean plant. Indeed it somehow looks like a jelly bean. Looks really nice with no spines. Did not realize that some species does not have spines. From what I read there are thousands of species out there.
These two are amazing and I somehow feel they would move anytime now. I give up naming them. Do help me out if you know what they are called.
I think I have made up my mind and want something that has spines. Feels like I'm buying a pet here lol. Although my wife was against the ones with spines she told me, "Don't go crying if you get pricked by your plant." lol
Now I just need to choose the perfect spiny one for me. Still there are a lot to choose from. From the spiny ones.
Hoping that soon I will be able to buy them all as it makes me happy just by looking at them. The lady at the shop told me to just spray water at them once a week and they would be fine. Perfect plant for me.
I have made my choice and take it home with me as my new desk buddy.
Here we are The Pin Cushion cactus and just correct me if I am wrong as I was only told by the lady it's name. So pretty and you could even see some flowers already starting to sprout.

You chose a prickly one! I love seeing them growing in the desert, but am never successful at growing them in the house. Good luck with the first one in your new collection!

@eaglespirit I think they have a lot of those here. Im not sure if it would be easy to have shipped as a lot of paper works maybe involved when it comes to plants. Pretty little thing isnt it?
if they are really called jelly beans then maybe. everyone old me chics and hens but there are so many varieties. yes plants are the worst and food. ho hummm

Your camera's saturation of colour works well already.
Usually, people would put it in their office, but my mum always says just put it away because of the thorns.
I got pricked twice already lol. My wife mistakenly picked it up and was soo angry at me lol.
we have small cactus placed on the top of our console table. and the snake grass that looks so nice..
How long have you had it? Do you also just water it once a week?
yung cactus parang 3 months na yata.. yup using spray bottles.. spray directly sa plant.. huwag daw madalas yung binyag sabi ng vendor.. yung snake grass naming Malaki na at mayabong..

Make sure it gets tons of light, not too much water and it will probably like a cooler place in wintertime to rest (and no watering them).

I have two now and I leave them on top of my speakers close to a window so they could get good music too. I spray them with water once a week. It's still very much alive an looks healthy as some small cacti are sprouting out of it's body.
It is breading!! Soon it will be a monster and take over :D
