My YouTube Stats!

How much can/do you earn from YouTube is the one question I get asked often from friends, family and relatives.

Well, I tell them "Not enough to fill my fuel for a day's ride".

They kinda find it hard to believe because they think if you have a video on YouTube and get a million views, you earn millions or do they?

I've been a creator on YouTube since December 21, 2015 as show below in the image and have created and uploaded 30 videos, which is again shown in the image below.

It takes a lot of investment to keep your bike serviced, fuel up every time, buy equipment and memory cards, charge them up and go for a ride. It's not that I'm complaining, but I'm suggesting that if you are doing YouTube, do it for a hobby rather than with the intent of making money.

Yes, there are YouTubers who have succeeded in the game and are earning thousands of bucks everyday, enough for all their experiences and more.

But, to reach that stage takes a lot of dedication, of at least putting up 3-4 videos a week, which is very difficult if you wanna maintain the quality of your videos but can be reached with consistence and practice.

Here's an article I had posted on a similar topic 6 months ago.

Anyways, getting the point of doing YouTube as a hobby aside, here's what I have earned in 3 years, 30 videos and 4854.26 hours of watch time later:

Yup, that's right: 24.24 USD!

We content creators on Steem are so so lucky.

The amount that I earned after producing 30 good videos can be earned just by uploading a single good video on @dtube or @dlive

It's true we live in an age of abundance and all it takes is to make use of this opportunity and reach somewhere in life!

Our time is now.
