Each Person Must Find His Own inner peace.

When you have an overly charged conscience, a competitive sense of self-worth, and a perverse sense of authority then its not easy to find inner peace. It takes patience and mental discipline to gain a significant measure of personal inner peace. Some people advocate setting up rules, making lists and lists of what you have to do. They assume that anyone with even a small bit of self-respect would set clear, definite boundaries, attain certain goals, and never give in to criticism.

Be mindful of our external surroundings. Everyone enjoys freedom from scrutiny and investigation. your personal or public persona is your own doing. The way you act in public brings you recognition and potential reward in a strange and uncaring world. Be careful with what you tell people, especially from time to time. Your life is so dependent on you telling the truth to someone who may not have your best interests at heart.

If you want to be more peaceful, you must take action today. You don't need to wait for the next administration, the next war or even the next chance to win. You need to stop fighting now, to be different, to think differently and to do it now. You need to see what lies in front of you today, and take advantage of it. Now is the time to leave the past behind, leave behind your fear, and leave behind what is not working for you. Now is the time to change your mindset.

Remember the days when you just went to work everyday, got home at the end of the day, and did nothing more than hang out with your family and friends? Even those days can be transformed into tranquil times of relaxation. That's exactly what you can do to deepen your practice for inner peace.

“Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace.”

This is the state of mind that Buddha himself attained in order to begin the process of liberation from suffering. His own wisdom, combined with the good insights of the Buddha's teachers, opened the eyes of his mind to the truth that there was nothing to suffer from. Not only could he not suffer, but the pain that surrounded him made him enlightened. As the Buddha tried to explain to others that not only was there no self, but there could be no such thing as false reality, what he was actually describing was the apparent absence of the apparent self.

We must not be afraid to question ourselves. We must do our very best to try to be of service to others, but we must remember that, if we do not trust ourselves, then how can we possibly expect others to be of service to us? And it is really the "How" of each individual's nature that will determine what it is that we can realistically strive to do for others, we are not going to find inner peace until we have faced this issue of ourselves first.

The universe is about finding our own joy and satisfaction. We don't need to compete for the approval of others. Rather, we need to continually encourage ourselves to become the best we can be, without being punished for our efforts.
