I Just Killed My Bots
Now that we've reached HF19, it was time to kill my auto-curate bots. They served a purpose, but at this point they are eating up too much of my curation capacity. Steemit has changed for the better with minnows increasing their vote power. Each upvote actually means something.
I'm guessing my 100% vote at 100% power is about $.35, I'm not quite sure after yesterday's Hard Fork bonanza. I haven't reached 100% since it happened. It was $.01 on Tuesday morning EST.
That is significant for me, may sound like piss to others. I feel I can actually curate in a productive fashion and make some difference in my universe, on this platform. The HF was the right decision. I had my doubts about steemians becoming reclusive with their upvotes, but the opposite is happening.
The fact that I can still dole out upvotes of $.18 when I'm at half power makes me want to continue curating until bed time. This rocks my little steemit world in many ways. The way forward has been found.
So, auto-curation is a thing of the past for me. Bots be damned. Manual curation is where I'm at. I want to get out there and vote on quality stuff and write the best content I can come up with.

Mutual feelings. I have about a 16 cent upvote at 100% now compared to a 1 cent upvote before the HF. This HF has made steemit worth using, and since a lot more members are in my range of Steem power (~150sp), this site will be bustling with activity
@josephd Very embarrasing for me, but I just used the services of @randowhale and thought I gave him the original link to my most recent post, but it was the one from the reply tab. @randowhale gave you $9.40 that belongs to me. I don't know if there is a proper way to rectify this error on my part.
I'm still pumping out $.17 with each upvote, this rules! Agreed regarding the activity. This will be heard far and wide once steemians start telling more of their friends. If this is sustainable, this platform is headed for the moon!

I'm glad I'm not the only one eschewing the "11 upvotes a day" advice that's going around. I'm fine with upvoting at a lower voting power, because the hardfork still made them valuable. My voting power may not reach 100 again unless I go on a week long vacation with no internet access, but that's fine
The fact that I just whacked you with $.18 at 50% power, means that I will keep UPVOTING whenever I can. I feel like a millionaire. Just last week I wrote a post about how cool that my vote had reached a penny. lol. This is crazy good for the platform. Made me laugh with the vacation comment. Even when I go on one, all i'll be doing is creating content for steemit!
hey ya i was gonna connect my acount to steemian, i didnt give it my WIF tho cuz it wasnt working, but i wanted to do autocuration trails, or let my minow friends follow my curation trail,
but i realized curation traisl and auto upvoting isnt for an atcive user liek me who has so much freetime i can be on steemt moe than 8 hour a day
so am i missing out y not using streemian ?
and yeah should i at least use streamian so OTHERS can follow my curation trail and upvote what i upvote?

we are aproaching fully automated luxury capitalism OR u could call it cber welfare OR u COULD call it socialism but it would piss off alot of people hahahha and rightly so! or as obama would tell us, "we didnt build steemit, tax money did"
I'm doing this full time right now, so there's no point in going autobot on the platform. I'd prefer to do it myself. It feels great to throw around a few sheckels.
I feel similar. I didn't had bots, but now I feel that curation became a humanly possible job :)

Oh, im still using my bot....just decreased its power to like 5%. They will still be good curation tools. Remember, #botlivesmatter. :)
I will end up catching on to the new paradigm. I may go back to a small percentage for my favs. Who knows. lol
