A preach on Sundays only?

Imagine I am a Christian.

I believe in God, love my neighbor no matter where he/she lives. I am a true believer and I share what I have.
Why? Because heaven rewards me. If it is not in this life, it's in my next. Love is all I need, god's love and the strong belief that everything's gonna be alright. I will survive, no, not only survive but also succeed. I comment, show interest and empathy and treat others the way I want them to treat me. It is god, Jesus, the bible, Allah, the iman or Quran who taught me to be good to others.

Here comes the twist...

I am not a Christian, I am not Muslim, I do not believe in a holy book but... I care and share and comment and this all not because of a perhaps promised place in heaven.

The truth is... I do not want to go to heaven. According to Muslims, women make it hardly up to there so why bother.
According to most religions, women do not count. So why should I bother?

It is true there are 1001 rules you have to follow and live by to have a small change to get in there.

Imagine I made it into heaven.

Will I be happy? Forget it. I turn around and ran out. Not because it might be a boring place (like the dog Charlie states in the animation "Dogs go to heaven too") but because I do not like to sit in between hypocrites, criminals, envy, hate, greed, manipulators, rapists. I am not good enough to fit in.

Project Hope, extension and repercussions in Venezuela (Food Donation) / Update

@hiroyamagishi showed up with a comment about his generous gift to the project with his spam message.

My respond:
Your 1% is worth 0.002 cents you are rich. Is this what Christianity means? It sounds like greed to me. How about transferring Steem via the wallet directly?

@hiroyamagishi:
The 1% upvote is just a greetings from us. What do I suggest is to visit our post but the real rewards are not coming from us but from Heaven. May God bless you.

The rich priest has spoken and showed what Christianity, loving your neighbor, means to him. Is this what Christianity means to you too?

If you like to freewrite see @mariannewest.

@hiroyamagishi:

Tu lo has dicho bien. Que Dios te bendiga,
amiga @wakeupkitty.

The bible says so, everything is there. Love God and love your neighbor. We do not understand. We just think we give a lot and we give only what we have left over. That is not love or detachment. I am a Christian in Christ and Mary. and I believe faithfully that we can do good, without getting anything in return. The reward comes from heaven. You said it well. God bless you, friend @wakeupkitty.

These are not my words "the rewards come from heaven".
@yuch80 asks for help for his project @hope.venezuela. They try to support some families with food.

A rich christian @hiroyamagishi gave an upvote of only 0.002 Steem! and did as if it is a great gift! As I told him 0.002 is NOT very generous if you preach god's word he said "the real reward comes from heaven".

Sorry but I can not stand this kind of greedy people. The reward does not come from heaven but from hard working people like @crypto.piotr, from poor basterds like me, from kind people who give a part of their food.
If no one gives, if we all stop helping the only rewardfrom heaven you get is hopefully a fast and painless death. 💕

It is true. Then I read and understood the whole thing. People with money often use biblical words to justify their actions. But the word "reward" has its connotations. People, greedy, greedy, ill-intentioned, you know? They also receive their reward. Will it be good or will it be bad? Only God in his judgment will say. We are left, for fear of God, to be and try to be a better person, than we can. Because the "rewards", bad or good, will be for everyone.
A hug my friend @wakeupkitty, you have a big heart. And God knows.

Abrazos

You are a wise person. I hope this man will change his mid and show some love instead of abusing the words and disrespecting people with a different opinion. Happy day. Hugs

My ancestors, who lived under the control of people who called themselves Christians but held them in cruel bondage, would completely understand where you are coming from. Nonetheless, their song about it still applies: "Ev'rbody talkin' 'bout Heaven ain't going there." That is to say that most of the people we meet that call themselves Christians actually aren't ... good estimates suggest about 90 percent aren't, and so that would also mean that 90 percent of church folks and churches AREN'T. Most people following Europeanized Christianity are following European materialism and hypocrisy and greed in churchy garb. So, I understand why the name Christian stinks in your eyes and many others.

However, the great mistake you are making in understanding true Christianity is overlooking Christ entirely -- pretty much the same mistake the 90 percent are making. "I don't need to pay attention to the work of Christ in regards to dealing with my own sinful ways -- my works are good enough so I can do things the way I want" is what those who have hurt you are saying but also the exact same thing you are answering back. But any true Christian will tell you: the key matter of Christianity is whether you have trusted Christ's work on the cross as sufficient payment in God's sight for your sins, and that His resurrection is sufficient for your righteous standing with God. Anyone who has truly come to those terms with their own sinfulness and run to Christ for salvation is not doing good work out of greed for the future, but out of humble gratitude to God for what He has already done in Christ -- to a point, future reward is a minor issue! "BECAUSE You have ALREADY been gracious, kind, and loving toward me, Lord, I can by Your strength show that same grace, kindness, and love to others, as You command me, day by day" -- that is the true Christian stance.

I am just a minnow. But I am a Christian. Let me go check out this @hope.venezuela project, and pass on the blessing...

@deeanndmathews Thank you for your answer/respond. I appreciate it.
We all have our own ideas about religion (no matter if it is Christianity or Islam or something else). The lack of respect is what bothers me, the threats in the name of.
Islam, Christianity, Catholics are results of earlier beliefs. Beliefs many look down on but still adopt in their daily life. The Christmas tree is one of them. It belongs to midwinter not the birth of Jesus.
The Bible is more as only the part about Jesus or parts used that keep women under pressure and take their votes and rights.

If there are lost sheep I am sure God will take care of them and does not need his "little" helpers to force, hunt for them, humiliate and punish in his name.

Once there was a God AND goddess and people were equal. Now we have a male/god and all live under the pressure of his helpers (literally said to my children before they were beat up by Muslim kids as they refused to bend for these children who find themselves on the same level as Allah).

We can talk long or short about it but religion is the cause to hate and (holy)wars and spread(s) more misery as anyone else. It is in the name of God people fight not in the name of the devil.
I am a minnow too and I do not believe in what many believe. I do not see the need to and lived too long under the pressure of people's religion. A religion that shows no respect for women and those with an opinion of their own or own belief. I still care about people and it is true I do not help everyone. It is easy to ask for money to spam and scam, threat people and manipulates but as an adult, you have responsibilities if it comes to your own life too. I gave plenty and high amounts to users and been punished for that (my children too) for years. Still, I believe there is a huge difference between project hope Venezuela and the scammer who choose for this lifestyle.
Thank you for having a look and stopping by.
Blessed be and a great day. 💕

"If there are lost sheep I am sure God will take care of them and does not need his "little" helpers to force, hunt for them, humiliate and punish in his name." -- there, we utterly agree. So also does the true and living God, and His true followers are not out here beating people down. But about that I have said enough already.

@wakeupkitty
No religion can save us. It depends upon how we deal with our lives with humanity. What we need to do is to be true ourselves, avoid sin and do righteousness. Greedy people have no place here and the hereafter. Doing good things will receive good things. If you're , will be bad consequences happen in return.

We are here helping each other. I do not upvote 0.001. The person you mention here was also a topic in our group chat. If we have all the capability of giving why not? Let us help.
Thank you @wakeupkitty. I adore you, how you explained everything. You and my other best froend have a good principle in life.

@olivia08 You have a lot of wisdom to share too. I agree no religion can save humanity. Humanity, being social, caring, to me it is all the same.
First you care about yourself next you can care with a heart of joy for others. There is no need to care for everyone. Many live a good life thanks to charity and begging while they can invest that time in working too or they can change their lifestyle or life. But project hope is a different story and I do not understand why a rich person threatened others, call them brainless and can not even transfer 1 Steem. Did his god create such a person?
It sounds like the religion I lived between for long. If something bad happens even if you are the cause you shrug your shoulders and say "it is god's will". This is not about caring, also not about guiding/offering help into the right direction.

So your group knows him too. I .et him earlier but it was quiet for some weeks/months.

Happy day with love💕

I am not a Christian
But i believe god
I'm a Buddhist
Believers have believe he
non-believers have not believe he

@cloudblade What non-believers believe no one knows. Not each non-believer is the same neither are believers. If it comes to it the beloeve is the same only the wsy it is practised not..❤️

you are right, everyone is different ideas

@cloudblade that makes the difference and makes it all less boring. 😁
