It is doing-it-yourself-time again!

I have been really productive yesterday.

I take care of an empty house, started to clean up over there. I fight against mold, spiders and mice. I started washing the curtains and all the bedsheets. Today I did some more cleaning up over there.

Lots of laundry I did create yesterday

and brought to an end. I am so happy I do have a washing machine. No need to wash by hand any longer. As my machine was running I washed the dishes, made a shopping list, catched a muddy dog (she jumped into the muddy pool again, but left the laundry in peace (or should I say in one piece?).
Today I took a part of the pots and pans with me and tried out the old dishwasher I do not use since over 5 years. Well it did it's job well, but how annoying it is all the time it needs. Two hours! During that time I vacuumed one car and changed the battery of an other one (my Yugo) plus cleaned it.

I did repair the seat of my second chair yesterday as well.

I am satisfied and happy with it. Pity I do not have more of this cloth. Since the chair is really old. I need to find a solution for the rest of it as well.

There is way more work to do at my place.

I bought a new battery for the Yugo. So today I finally did drive it again! I feel so happy. I once gave it to myself as a birthday present. It took me a lot of money to fix it after a neighbour borrowed it for a while (never ever borrow your car to someone else!). As I did pick it up I drove home. Next day it did not start again. Well it turned out to be the battery so now it does start but... (how come there is always a but?) the gear did not work. For some reason it was stuck! Finally I was able to move it as I turned off the engine (weird, weird). So I started driving in circles in my garden. The longer I drove the better it did function. I did this for the second time after I washed it (still not clean).

Again.. never let anyone else drive your car. It did cost me 800 dollar to fix it and it was also damaged at the parking lot of the car service!

This car has big seats, it is so relaxing driving it.

Before Winter starts I need to paint at least 1 wall outside.

Of course this job was badly done, so is the plumbing. The wall is wet for sure. I already started with a primer (twice) and painting a part of it. So tomorrow I have to continue with it. I assume it will not rain. I am also painting inside, started to repair a hole in the wall behind the tap as well plus I need to repair the ceiling in the bathroom.

What do you do to save yourself money?

Believe me there is a lot you can do yourself. You even might be way better at it as you think!
