Fish day
Fish fillet?
I seldom eat it these days which not differs from most kinds of food.
Food is expensive. Watch what people buy and you know how much money they have to spend, recognize poverty.
I like fish but not all kinds.
Not buying it any longer simply happens because fish stores are hardly seen in the places where I lived in the past years. Supermarkets do not sell fresh fish only some frozen, sometimes some vacuum wrapped fish.
There was a time it was normal to eat fish on Fridays if you are Catholic.
The rest of us ate it on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Wednesdays and Saturdays because these are the market days and Thursdays and Fridays because these are the days we called "shopping evening". Shops are open till 9 pm instead of closing at 6 pm.
As I was a kid it was " shopping evening" on Thursday, later they changed it to Friday but some places still use the Thursday.
