Essential oils
This is my entry to @marblely her CCC- contest "My favorite Thursday 2.24". The theme is My Favourite Essential Oil/s.
Oils
The only oils I used in my life are:
- sunflower oil (I fry and bake with it),
- olive oil (I used it for my skin too),
- hemp oil (it tastes disgusting and it did not help against my skin problems),
- castor oil (they say it starts contractions so you get into labor),
- cod liver oil (it was normal to swallow a spoon each night as a child to remain healthy).
I once had some kind of massage oil but never used it.
Customers once gave me some essential oil (at least I believe it was) as they came back home from their vacation abroad. It was eucalyptus. I had to put it in a little pot they gave me with the oil. I liked that one and used it in my bedroom for a long time.
I tried to buy eucalyptus oil here but it was a very tiny bottle and different from the present. I had no idea what to do with it. I doubt it was for rubbing my skin so I guess it had to be burned in some way. Perhaps mixed with water and a little candle/tea light underneath?
I never used it after trying once.
I burn incense for the good smell and feeling, never black sticks and only certain kinds. I have nothing with smelly sticks with the name yoga, karma, healing, meditation, etc on it. I smell at the boxes and most stink. It does not make me feel better if my house stinks and the soot is all over the place.
Not many shops sell it. In the village just one and mainly the black sticks and bad smelling.
I only know one in the city. The city has a shop we call "a world shop". Things are 4 times more expensive as usual but they sell incense too and more kinds.
This basket smells so good.
The cones are useless too. They hardly burn plus I smell nothing.

@freemonster I think most incense is made in India, perhaps Indonesia. It is all imported.

@steemitboard Thank you for the update and a great week. ❤️
Saludos. Si las esencias también son muy agradables en el ambiente. Las prefiero a los palitos quemados.
@gertu ¿Alguna vez usaste el aceite? El olor a galletas caseras y pasteles también es bueno. 😁
You ever used the oil? The smell of homemade cookies and cake is good too. 😁
I use sunflower oil. It works fine but I find it harder to figure out the amount of oil. You need less as with butter.
Si, pero ahora nada es difícil. Todo está en internet. Preguntas algo y google te informa.
La cantidad de aceite siempre es mayor. Yo uso el aceite que encuentre, en estos tiempos no puedo escoger.

I have not heard of hemp oil. Does olive oil help with your skin problems? Ah I remember cod’s liver oil. Quite hard to swallow as a kid but my parents made sure we have them every night before bed.

Hemp oil you can use to eat (salad, just so is less bad as a spoiled salad) and on your skin. I haven't noticed any result and it is very expensive. If it helps it is because you it to help. The olive oil better my skin always used it in the sun. Now I hardly use anything no matter how my skin is. It not it smoother, at times "soaks" off the skin but I hate to feel sticky.
