Dpoll 60: What % of your income you spend for the costs of living?

Freedom.

Most of us have to pay a high price to live in the paradise. The paradise called "the first or western world."

All the "richdom" you see is not for free.
We have to pay a price of it. In most cases it means a long life of hard work and even two jobs to keep yourself (and family) alive.
The costs of living are high. Mainly because of the taxes which needs to be paid over everything.
Owning or renting a house means you need to pay a yearly tax over it.
It is the same with your garbage, water, electricity, the environment. You pay - next to the bill - taxes.

You pay taxes for your dog even if he only shits in your garden.
You pay taxes if you buy a car and for owning one.
You pay taxes over everything you buy although the seller already paid taxes for the same objects and the factory did and logistic did, etc etc.

If you arrive in the Western world it all looks shiny and bright and you see luxury only. You think what social security gives you you can spend, spend it all. You are not aware of all those taxes, the extra costs for living.

84% of my income is used for the costs of living!
I do not own luxury things like a refrigerator, airconditioning, dryer, dishwasher, I have two sets of clothes, never visit a hairdresser, reuse, have no phone bill, tv, etc.
Only 16% of my income is left for buying food, clothes, glasses for the children, medication, school fee, etc.

The law says only a certain percentage of your income should be used to spend on these costs.
The reality turns out to be different. Many live underneath what we call "the poverty line". Poverty is increasing and there's no way we can save for repairs, a new washing machine, the yearly tax that needs to be paid, etc.

Are you aware of the percentage of your income you spend for living?
Exluded food, toiletry, hairdressers, going out, vacations, your smoke and drink, celebrations, pets, petrol, phone, internet, clothes/shoes.

A refrigerator or sort of air cooling should not be considered luxury. You deserve more.

Air cooler is for me. I do not need it. Firewood, a warm house I would love to have. My.place is close to fridge temp.
You have a high % too. Thanks for voting. 💕

That is a lot too. 🙁 Yesterday I read 25-40% is common. We really are poor bastards. We need to find a way to reduce it.
Thanks for voting 💕

Need multiple sources of income

I did that for years too. Now I can no longer. It's kind of stressful. Good luck and more fortune for you💕
