It is obvious that Africans are mostly regarded as Blacks, and we even refer to ourselves as black. But remember not all Africans are black. There are other Africa countries that are not blacks countries like Algeria, Egypt and so many of them.

Most people think that their complexion tells of where they come from.
We are supposed to know who you are, it is not just about your color. We have an intellectual culture that makes us unique, and we must understand that it's not just about your complexion.

We have been told of stories about our culture and our different languages, we have been told of how our fore Fathers use to associate among themselves.

Our culture is what we are known for, therefore civilization shouldn't be allowed to bury it. It is obvious that most of us can't even greet with the dialect isn't that shameful or you think that because you don't visit your hometown there is no need, oh! no there are a lot of because even while you are in that city where you reside without you telling someone where you come from your language alone can do that. Language does a lot of introduction even while you don't know.

Another important culture that most of us want to bury is our dressing, let me tell you even the Europeans and the Americans do like our dress and want to have them. We have completed gotten addicted to the European and American mode of dress most of us can't even brag of a complete pair of our traditional attire but we change our wardrobe regularly, if we are traveling out we leave our traditional attire at home. Don't forget only your attire it is an enough to identify who you are.

Almost all of us don't even have a native name and, don't even know our native names. I don't even if the various religions is discouraging us from having a native name, how can a Nigerian be answering "JACK DANIEL" in short Mr. Man where are you from? How do you want me to believe that you are from Africa?Or are you ashamed of your culture??.

Most of us our families forbid our festival sometime we don't even witness them, do your parents give you any genuine reason for not participating in their festival, do you even know the origin. These festivals were organized to bring us together once in a while, in a complete year we no longer visit home again, you are really missing a lot.

We are working for the growth of Africa, there is no way Africa will grow with its CULTURE. Yes one person can't do it alone it's a team fight and the world we are in is a place where we are not the only one, the only way we can identify ourselves is with our culture nothing more than that.

Our Culture Our Life.

I guess you would agree with me that a few of these cultures need to be abolished. Imaging someone's name to mean "trouble" or "thief at daylight" in English lol

I occasionally debate the African culture with some of my friends. The aspect that pisses me off is that of the so called "white wedding ". It is a of the western culture and was brought in with colonialism. It is the white man's own traditional wedding. What I'm saying is, we now value the white wedding over our own traditional wedding...

I think we have problems with them since it is copied. we are better of doing things our own way. thanks too @josphirre
