🗞 Cornell Researchers Propose Strategy For Bribery-Resistant Blockchain Voting

In July, Phil Daian, Tyler Kell, Ian Miers, and Ari Juels, all of Cornell University, published an exploratory blog post describing the risks and promise of blockchain voting. The post described blockchain, and EDCCs (also known as smart contracts) specifically, as just the type of technology that e-voting research has sought for decades. However, in the next breath they presented a well-known problem:

"Unfortunately, smart contracts aren't just good for running elections. They're also good for buying them."

🗞 This DEX Is Enabling Merchant Payments in Any Ethereum Token

119,876 – that's how many ethereum ERC-20 tokens are currently in existence.

It's a number that is growing by the hundreds every day, but the trouble is, according to Loi Luu, the CEO and co-founder of decentralized exchange Kyber Network, the majority of those tokens fall short of a practical use case.

🗞 China's Central Bank Warns Investors of ICO, Crypto Risks

China’s central bank, the People’s Bank of China (PBoC), has today, September 18, issued a new public notice “reminding” investors of the risks associated with Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) and crypto trading.

The notice, released from the bank’s headquarters in Shanghai, reiterates the severe line that has been adopted by the country’s Office for Special Remediation of Internet Financial Risks, which first introduced a blanket ban on ICOs in September 2017.

🗞 SBI to Roll Out Ripple DLT-Based Payments App on iOS, Android in Fall

SBI Ripple Asia CEO Takashi Okita has christened the application’s new website MoneyTap. The project is being supported by the Japan Banking Consortium, led by SBI Holdings, with technological support provided by Ripple, the California-based blockchain platform.

The service will be rolled out first to the customers of three banks, SBI Net Sumishin Bank, Suruga Bank, and Resona Bank, but is eventually expected to expand to the other 61 members of the banking consortium.

If the huge amount of BTC locked in the wallets of long-term investors is anything to by, bitcoin’s nascent adopters are in no hurry to cash out. Many of the coins accrued and stored in the cryptocurrency’s earliest days have yet to move.

The BTC drop didn't allow us to go test again the resistance line at 0.77$. We are now moving in a trading canal and we went test the support line around 0.68$. WIthout a big move in one of the direction on the BTC, I expect that we continue to move in this canal during several days before being able to break one of the lines.
