Make coins for being online and send crypto via social media with Tube

I made some posts about Bittube before, but seeing as how the Airtime extension is now up and running, I thought I would make another post. Even if you already have a bit.tube account you will still need to make a 2nd account for Bittube Airtime.

Airtime Rules

This is different than the bit.tube platform, which awards video creators and viewers with tube coins. Instead of just rewarding you for watching videos, the Tube extension rewards you for your time spent online. It's a similar to the BAT coin and Brave Browser, you get rewarded for being on the internet and you link your social media profiles so you get rewarded for the time other people spend on your social media profiles. It also works as an ad blocker. Block ads, and get paid while surfing. If you were a Facebook/Twitter/Soundcloud star or Youtuber who gets lots of clicks this could actually be huge.

This is the first option I have encountered to re-monetize my old Youtube channel. If a person running the extension views videos on my channel I get paid. They view my Twitter or Facebook, I get paid. The great dream of getting paid for your content is still alive, and in a more fair way than ever.

My two favorite words are "Passive income" and Tube provides it.

Send money to anyone on Facebook, Twitter. Youtube etc.

I see stories about how Facebook is working on crypto, but why wait? Its already here, this extension allows person to person transactions of Tube Coins thru social media without even having to type in a wallet address. A tube icon appears on all social media when you install Airtime:

Buy something from a Facebook group and not have to use paypal or credit cards! Donate button is right there^^^^^^^^. I almost think they should change the name to "Send Tube" because its more than just tipping people.

Everyone is talking about how big tipping gamers is, and I agree, but E-commerce is massive. Paypal and Ebay take a huge chuck of my profits all the time, now I can sell stuff online and avoid both of them. Lots of people with no access to Credit Cards or Paypal who are mostly excluded from online commerce who could benefit.

I tested transaction speed too, I have a GUI wallet and a bit.tube wallet in addition to my airtime one, and all the transactions are fast and cheap. Want to send money back to relatives in another country? It's one click and cheaper than Western union.

You can already buy/sell Tube at several exchanges

I see all these sites that want to be the next steem like Trybe and such, and they are just an idea, you can't buy and sell it at an exchange yet. Tube already is up and running, it already works:

So far I have made almost 100 Tubes just watching videos.

The Future of Tube

They also are working on a full social network site, and have said they learned from Steem's mistakes (i.e. whales won't control everything). They are also adapting to users gaming system, they found copyright material getting awarded so they are changing how everything works.

In the future anyone will be able to post short videos but in order to post longer ones you need to have a certain number of coins staked. You can also stake coins for other users if you like their content and will get something like 25 percent of their profits. I like this idea a lot. A site where you get free coins has to have a hook to get people to buy it (like steempower).

In my opinion the staking features are a sweet idea. The airtime model will only award you for a few hours a day, in the future if you stake some coins it will increase the amount of time you can be rewarded. This should help reduce abuse, scammers don't like to invest.

Other things I like about Tube.

  1. Team is easy to contact and it is easy to ask questions that actually get answered
  2. I can buy Tube with Paypal
  3. Roadmap goals consistently being met on time or even early
  4. Monetizes both legacy social media and their own sites
  5. Privacy focused coin
  6. Decentralized and censorship resistant
  7. Offers people a chance to get into crypto with zero investment
  8. Not premined, no ICO

I still consider the idea of getting paid for your content viable.

The Steem model probably won't ever gain any sort of mass adoption though. Tube offers lots of reasons to adopt, even just people who want to easily send crypto thru Facebook. An adblocker that pays you to surf. Have I sold it enough? My referral link

You know I can only post like 5 times a day on steemit before running out of credits? You have to pay to play here, I look forward to a site I just post and get paid and not have to worry. Steemit is like "well other accounts have used free accounts to spam so you need to pay" that doesn't sound good, it sounds like a scam.

Definitely going to have check this out and see what it’s all about.
