What beauty to behold, right on my kitchen table as the morning light streamed through this beautiful white orchid.

You can lose yourself for a moment in the beauty God created for us in our world.

I'm busy with my tutoring and gardening and cleaning and life, so not much time for posting these days! I am working on some new posts on Monarch butterflies and all of their stages. I have been able to witness all of the stages in my backyard. The Dallas, Tx area is in the fly zone for butterflies. What does that mean? Well, when they migrate north from their wintering grounds in Mexico in the spring they pass through here. When they migrate south in the fall, they pass through again. Anyway, the fall migration is about to take place. I actually have a Monarch caterpillar in my yard(in a jar) that was feeding on my milkweed and has now changed into a chrysalis. So my next post will be more about it. Don't worry I'm taking good care of the chrysalis and plan on releasing the butterfly to join the rest of the Monarchs to migrate!

Question for any of you that want to answer.
Is blogging therapeutic for you?

It is for me; if I have plenty of time to make my post look good and be thoughtful.
I don't like to rush!
Also on the days I don't post, I just go read, comment and upvote posts!

Have a wonderful day!

Thank you.!

@violetmed you captured such beauty and with the reflections and the sun light it was a very surreal moment! You are such a natural when it comes to plants, flowers and of course butterflies!!! Thank-you for your wonderful post.

I think writing articles has been great for me in answer to your question. After I retired a while ago, I wanted to return to school but too many things came up for me to do so. So when I was asked to write for Steemiteducation, even though I am not a teacher by trade, I decided this would be a great opportunity to learn and teach at the same time.

I love researching and learning while fulfilling a greater love and that is to teach people things that they may not know about. That has always been my passion. So yes, blogging has been very therapeutic for me.

Have a great Thursday!!!! :D

Thanks for answering my question! That is wonderful that you love to research and teach people. I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into your posts! Sending a virtual hug out to you my friend @cabbagepatch.

Blogging is therapeutic, definitely! It makes me feel like I'm just going for it... getting it all out there, singing to my hearts content. Though, I've never had a singers voice.

I wonder, how long do your orchids last you? I'm trying to keep a gorgeous set of purple orchids alive. I should have taken a picture of them when they were full. The flowers are plopping off one at a time... I know they're picky things. Little sips of water now and then, lots of sun but no direct light, warm with no breezes. Humidity is good, too. Mine are hanging in there (literally), but it's sad to watch them go one at a time. Anyway, thanks for the post!

Thanks for answering my question about blogging. I think that it's awesome that you are "singing to your hearts content". To answer your question, I've seen orchid flowers last 6 weeks sometimes. That is a long time for flowers! Most orchids say to water them once a week. Mine get a little bit of direct sunlight in the morning and lots of bright light for at least 6 hours. I do feed them liquid plant food when I see the plants putting on new buds and continue feeding them while they have flowers. This white orchid is a new one I just bought with the flowers in bloom.

Therapeutic? I don't think so. Or maybe... except that I don't really blog. I like to take photos and I just have to post them somewhere. Otherwise they will be sitting forgotten on my pc. If they will start some conversation in the comment section it's brilliant.
And I enjoy looking what other people posy and have to say... I guess I enjoy reading blogs more than writing myself.

Beautiful orchid!

It would be nice to have a morning cup of coffee and see those orchids in that light. Thanks for sharing.

I love backlighting! These are beautiful...

You're welcome, Violet! :)
