Ranthambore fort

Went to Ranthambore National Park a few weeks back. Visited Ranthambore fort and saw the degraded condition of the fort. The fort of Ranthambore is in very pathetic condition and no one seems to care about it. You can see the thick stone walls and old strong doors of the fort which once used to guard the whole fort are now in such a poor state. There is a temple and a pond inside it which are the main tourist attraction of the place. The pond is completely covered with green algae and it looks so beautiful in the daytime. Unfortunately, I forgot to take the picture of the pond.

The journey to the top of the fort was very tough. The steep path which was used to travel by the horses and the common people in the previous times is so long and exhaustive. We were completely exhausted when we reached at the top. I have noticed that all the forts that I have seen in my life are built at the top of a hill, maybe to protect them from enemy envasions and to showcase the authority of the King could be the reasons behind it.

Overall, it was a wonderful trip and full of fun and frolic.
