Bitcoin fees triple under a week while Dash makes itself 10 times cheaper. (+My discovery of a secret device to store the entire BTC blockchain cheaply )
More and more people are coming to realize that Bitcoin is nothing but a running joke in the blockchain space. As you read in the title the Average Tx fee tripled while block time going over 30 minutes. So I'm supposed to pay several times what I pay for VISA and still wait extra 30 minutes to get my room temperature coffee and melted ice cream. Why? because hard drive space is expensive.
The last time I checked I could store half a century's worth Doctro Who episodes and Bitcoin blockchian twice on this lovely little black cube shaped thing I can carry in my pocket. I wonder what's it called? But then again I'm one of those poor backwards people. This little thingy was released in 2013.
I'm sure it wasn't cheap and it still should be more expensive that the portable SSD I was talking about. Oh i just checked. The new 2TB version is on Amazon for $1455 and it can store the Current BTC Blockchain of 166.34 GB 10 times on it and still have some space for Doctor Who.
Now was that too much Math for you? Hopefully not, Because cryptocurrency are backed my Math. If the only Math you can do involve Capital "N" Capital "O" Number 2 and the letter X you are bound to get your fees tripled. The real key point here is that blockchain isn't mainstream yet. So am I somehow supposed to pay $200 dollars for miners in the future so that I can eat my Strawberry Sundae and screw government and bankers.
I'd rather say screw your Bitcoin core cuz you are rotten to the core and gets in the way between my Strawberry Sundae and eating it before it melts. . Dash For the Win! Long live currency competition!

But I hear you. I wanted to send bitcoin to 3 paper wallets as a birthday present of $50 in each wallet. When I looked at the $10 fee for each transaction, I decided to put the amounts all together and send just one paper wallet to my daughter.
As far as Dash, I'm still waiting for their Evolution Wallet. Tick. Tick. Vaporware. Tick. Tick. Tick. Hope when that comes out, Evolution will move things one tiny step closer to main-stream acceptance.

I've seen PIVX has great paper wallets. I haven't personally used them. My point is Why Ever bother with Bitcoin everything else only cost cents or even less and 100 times or even multiple thousand times faster? Dash, PIVX, Bitshares are all capable of doing a Tx under 2 seconds. Verge can do in 5 seconds for very low fees. NEM is anoher great project with usernames, Encrypted and plain text messaging and muti-sig on their mobile wallet.
Bitcoin simply has no future. Evolution isn't definitely Vaporware because with 50 full time Devs (LTC has one I think) and a $3 million dollars a month and growing monthly budget Dash has the most stability and constant uninterrupted self-funding.
In regards to long term gains, I think EOS is the best option.

The only value a Cryptocurrency has is it's use. To elaborate more, I'd say it's about
1.Utility
2.Usability
3.Scalability
Usability is pretty OK-ish for BTC. It's accepted around the world though it had negative merchant adoption in 2017. There are several multi-currency wallets that support BTC. But there are no mobile friendly wallets like Dash, NEM, PIVX that also support usernames and other protocol level support for mainstream adoption.
Everything else about Bitcoin is a Joke that has been taken too seriously.
