Hola de nuevo steemians hoy les traigo un post especial. Se trata de un pequeño relato un tanto particular de donde se originó este dibujo. Acompañado a mi incursión al arte digital siendo este mi primer post de este estilo, como siempre espero que sea de su agrado.

In life we come across all kinds of people, you find beings who fleetingly pass and do not contribute anything and others who on the contrary leave a mark on our hearts, that kind of individuals is this story, a brief fragment of the history of a great friendship, told through a humble drawing, that kind of friendship and fraternity that endures over time and distance.

En la vida nos topamos con todo tipo de personas, te encuentras con seres que pasan fugazmente y que no aportan nada y otros que por el contrario dejan una marca en nuestros corazones, de ese tipo de individuos se trata este relato, un breve fragmento de la historia de una gran amistad, contada mediante de un humilde dibujo, ese tipo de amistad y fraternidad que perdura a través del tiempo y distancias.

Stick technique.

It all goes back about 8 years, maybe a little more. As was customary in one of those countless talks at night, a strange request arose on my part as a joke, which was to give me a drawing, even knowing his limited skills as a draftsman, can only be compared to that of a primary school child, to my surprise my request was taken, and instantly sent me a small design, as expected was a very rudimentary drawing made with paint, what I affectionately called "your stick technique", after a few laughs and grumbles on your part, keep very affectionately your creation.

Técnica de palito.

Todo se remonta a unos 8 años atrás, quizás un poco más. Cómo era costumbre en una de esas incontables charlas por las noches, surgió de mi parte a manera de broma una extraña petición, la cual fue que me regalará un dibujo, aun sabiendo sus limitadas habilidades como dibujante, solo pudiéndose comparar a la de un niño de primaria, para mi sorpresa mi solicitud fue tomada, y al instante me envió un pequeño diseño, como era de esperarse era un dibujo muy rudimentario hecho con paint, a lo que cariñosamente le llamaba "su técnica de palito", tras unas cuantas risas y refunfuños de su parte, guarde con mucho afecto su creación.

The redesign.

After a few months and seeing that this drawing needed an urgent improvement, I decided to update its design and give it a gift as a surprise, as every day towards special dates or entertainment outings. First I used the figure of her face as inspiration, I armed myself with pencil and paper and began to draw an animated version of it, recreating the posture and guitar of the original illustration so that it did not lose its essence, the new design was very well received by the similarity of it.

El rediseño.

Pasado unos meses y viendo que ese dibujo necesitaba una mejora urgente, decidí actualizar su diseño y hacerle un regalo a manera de sorpresa, como cotidianamente hacía en fechas especiales o salidas de entretenimiento. Primeramente use la figura de su rostro a manera de inspiración, me arme de lápiz y papel y empecé a dibujar una versión animada de ella, recreando la postura y la guitarra de la ilustración original para que no perdiera su esencia, el nuevo diseño fue muy bien recibido por la similitud del mismo.

Reunions.

This stage of our friendship I like to call it a new chapter, after more or less three years separated without knowing anything about the other we met again, and despite the time and long distances, the treatment and affection was not affected by the slightest, as if that period had never existed, a friendship like no other and in order to honor and celebrate, I decided to update that drawing so humble but so iconic for us. Thank you for everything.

Reencuentros.

Esta etapa de nuestra amistad me gusta llamarla un nuevo capítulo, después de más o menos tres años separados sin saber nada del otro volvimos a encontrarnos, y pese al tiempo y a las largas distancias, el trato y el afecto no se vio afectado por lo mas mínimo, como si ese periodo no hubiese existido jamás, una amistad como ninguna otra y a manera de honrarla y celebrar, decidí actualizar ese dibujo tan humilde pero tan icónico para nosotros. Gracias por todo.

Drawing development / Desarrollo del dibujo ✎

Being this my first digital drawing there are many things that I still do not know, there are many techniques used for the development of a design, but according to what I learned all share something in common, the use of layers and the position of them in the drawing, these facilitate us the work when applying the colors, also the use of brushes or brushes, each has different characteristics with which you can achieve unique effects, in turn the size and opacity of the stroke.

Siendo este mi primer dibujo digital hay muchas cosas que todavía desconozco, existen muchas técnicas usadas para la elaboración de un diseño, pero según lo que aprendí todas comparten algo en común, el uso de las capas y la posición de ellas en el dibujo, estas nos facilitara el trabajo a la hora de aplicar los colores, también la utilización de las brochas o pinceles, cada una tiene características diferentes con las cuales puedes lograr efectos únicos, a su vez el tamaño y la opacidad del trazo. ▶️ DTube

In the development of the drawing use a total of 32 layers, in these try to separate each component of the drawing to be able to modify / edit aspects of the drawing without affecting the others, below is a basic summary of how the distribution of the layers would be constituted.

En el desarrollo del dibujo use un total de 32 capas, en estas trate de separar cada componente del dibujo para poder modificar/editar aspectos del dibujo sin que las demás se vieran afectadas, a continuación presento un resumen base de cómo se constituiría la distribución de las capas.

Line art / Linea de arte

In this first layer is created the outline of the drawing with all the details that compose it.

En esta primera capa se crea el delineado del dibujo con todos los detalles que lo componen.

Base colour / Color base

The different parts of the drawing are determined and filled with the base color.

Se determina y se rellena con el color base las diferentes partes del dibujo.

Details / Detalles

Add shadows and glosses in the drawing, as well as define and give volume to the hair.

Se agregan las sombras y brillos en el dibujo, además de definir y dar volumen al cabello.

Special effects / Efectos especiales

In addition, the effects of luminosity/glare that surrounds the character, the leaves and flashes of light are charged.

Aparte se cargan los efectos de luminosidad/resplandor que envuelve al personaje, las hojas y destellos de luz.

Background / Fondo

As the last layer, an image is chosen and loaded at the end of all of them.

Como última capa se elige una imagen, y se carga al final de todas ellas.
