Why i look forward to steemit meet up Uyo
Unlike others, i am not particularly excited about the upcoming uyo steemit meet up not because i don't like the community, i just sense an aura of selfishness.
I'm sorry to hurt some people's feelings but I'll just have to say things the way it is
I heard about steemit a couple of months back and the guys in it kept on saying steemit is a social media that pays you as you blog, this is not false though
The next thing i hear them say is don't come in for the money, come in for the fun, which is something i kinda appreciate. I really want to have fun on steemit but i feel there's no place here for my kind
The same group of people that said you should keep making posts to get visible are the ones that gives rules on how many posts you should make daily
One final thing I've noticed that makes me really sad is that posts about crypto and steems get more attention, what if i don't want to talk about those things, i want to go outside the box and express my thoughts, I'm seen as unserious.
Maybe I'm getting this all wrong or the people in the system are making it difficult for newbees to get comfortable but in the end i look forward to the uyo steemit meet up

Well you are right and wrong. From my experience: most people come here to earn, because that is the image of Steemit. And there is nothing wrong with that in my opinion.
However people who are here for a month and are only out for rewards, they will quickly notice that it wont work. You can see it in their posting that they are only trying to get votes, which in fact achieves the opposite effect.
I see people who also enjoy on being on this platform and try to create value, they are the ones who do actually receive more value votes.
That you are realising this at an early stage will already bring you more true followers I can guanrentee you that!

STOPThat is actually not true. Most posts that get attention are non crypto related! In my experience.
You can make any amount of post you want on a daily basis, the only reason why this rule is up is because most persons use automatic voting system like the steemvoter which automatically upvotes your post if you are added, so if you are added to a particular user's steem voter and it has been designated for your post to be upvoted at let say 80%, if one of your post for a day Is upvoted you get the maximum amount from that upvote, but that person voting power reduces, and when your other posts for the day come you get lower earnings which are not the maximum which would have normally gotten
I would say if people have autovoted you, it is a good practise to not to drain their voting power by spamming posts. But on the hand, I don't think those people would auto vote you if you were posting multiple times a day, unless its really good.
You can talk about anything you want to on here, the only reason you are not using the right tags and also expanding your community, you need to get into more community apart from the ones the Uyo community where there are alot of persons with low steem power, just group on discord share your links there while following the rules and you would see that your earnings on your out-of -the-box posts would certainly increase in earnings.
