Cardstack - Decentralized Internet

in #bitcoin6 years ago

Apps have recently become one the main technologies of our world. But frequently, software and apps do not go with each other. That’s why users have to “jump” between them arranging a good workflow.

Over the last decade, more than $70 bln has been paid out to the iOS developers. When iPhone was first introduced, there were just 15 apps, managing people’s lives, providing communication, giving directions, and even making life soundtrack by choosing the music.

Today’s app world have greatly extended. Quite often, users refuse to pay for the apps as a lot of them are free. Truly speaking, most of us need just a small number of apps (< 5) dail y. Many of these apps are supported by advertising that is quite annoying. So, the original business model “pay to buy app” is dying out.

Besides, each app requires a separate credit card, admin login, and password, which causes problems: Cards expire, logins must be reset, users often forget logins and passwords and constant registration really gets on their nerves.

People gonna “Work it out”

Early blockchain developers knew how difficult it is to make a basic cryptocurrency transaction: like sending Bitcoin or Ethereum to someone, let alone smart-contracts and app tokens. Yet, the growing number of daily cryptocurrency transactions shows that people are finding their way around crypto wallets (Coinbase or TREZOR), exchanges (Kraken), social media (Reddit), and centralized messaging systems (Slack), to take part in an exciting new economical world.

Still there’s a problem of manual workflows between people’s devices, cloud-hosted apps and many blockchains. So it’s time for the next generation of UX to come. The new decentralised processes should eliminate manual workflows.

Cardstack

Cardstack is a new project helping users to orchestrate their interactions across the (d)Apps they use by decentralization.

To be exact, decentralization is a recentralization of a user’s workflows. A user can regulate local transactions via cloud-based market makers or through various blockchain mechanisms. Traditional single-function apps are becoming history. The combination of multiple apps and dApps is a real generation leap in the UX.

As crypto-trading and finance extend, this general pattern of user orchestration can be used to redecentralize the data locked in cloud-based subscriptions. With the right architecture and design system, a user-centric, decentralized UX can facilitate structured transactions like a line-of-business system.

How it works?

Cardstack project is based on four elements.

Technology. Cardstack provides a toolset unlocking decentralized Internet for everyone.

App framework. Cardstack Framework will build powerful, and cohesive blockchain apps. Cardstack Hub (the core) orchestrates data and value transfer across multiple blockchains and the cloud.

Aggregation protocol. Cardstack-powered dApps use the Tally protocol, which helps to organize large networks of users — such as batching payments, counting votes, and good work rewards.

Ecosystem tokens. Developers can monetize their Cardstack via the smart contracts powered by the Cardstack Token(CARD), an Ethereum-based ERC20 token designed to reward Cardstack- powered communities.

Tokens

With Cardstack Tokens, users purchase credits to use software in the ecosystem, while makers and miners are proportionally rewarded.

Cardstack Tokens (CARD)
This is the tradable token based on the ERC20 Ethereum network.

Software and Services Coupons (SSC)
SSC are non-transferable entries in each of the app-contracts. They act like a store credit that can be redeemed by a user within a specific period of time (e.g. 1 year).

Crowd Fundraising

The Switzerland-based Cardstack Foundation will initiate a fundraiser, followed by a series of airdropped awards to distribute tokens to interested participants of the Cardstack ecosystem.
The Foundation will distribute 40% of the total of Cardstack Tokens (CARD) that will be generated at the Token Generation Event (TGE) to the public.

Individual Contribution Limits

Before the contribution period: All contributors register on cardstack.com and take part in KYC/AML process at least 72 hours before the crowd fundraising.

Start of the contribution period: When the crowd fundraising period officially begins, registered and approved contributors will have the opportunity to send funds to the Cardstack Token ledger.

End of the contribution period: The fundraiser ends when the amount of ether contributed reaches the Target Proceed Amount in Ether or when 30 days have elapsed, whichever is earlier.

I think it is now one of the most popular projects with a long-term idea.

Thank you for your opinion!

This is a really great project with a great realization of their ideas that will be implemented in the near future!

Thank you for your opinion. The project is really very promising!

I will monitor the platform and use useful applications that will not steal my data!

Correctly do!

Very topical article. I learned a lot of interesting things. You express thoughts well and communicate them clearly to readers.

Many thanks! I'm glad that my content is understandable and interesting to you!

Yup u are pretty much right. Todays tecnology have become very in accessible to the people living their lives in simplicity. Entering of so many passwords and emails are just very complicated.

Thanks for the comment!

I found a platform that would allow me to store my data in cloud-based security

Indeed this platform is very reliable!

Really funny review, thank you @veseloff , i enjoyed!

You're welcome! Glad you liked it!
