Ten to midnight
It’s ten minutes till midnight and here are my thoughts for the day.
I’m exhausted which I’m sure doesn’t come as a surprise but today was an extremely busy day. I slept wonderfully the night before. Maybe it was the heating blanket which kept my body nice and toasty. Whatever it was, I was comfortable and nothing would disrupt my dreaming.
Waiting.
Unfortunately, the same could not be said for @kommienezuspadt. He barely got a wink of sleep and woke up several times due to stress. I blame it on Apple releasing the new iPad! After @guthrie was dropped off at school I was invited to tag along to Apple. We got there fifteen minutes before open, excited to see the new design and to also test out the pencil.

There were a lot of mishaps that happened in between but it was all sorted out in the long run. I was able to make a few late minute stops to pick up small items for the trip. Like moisturizer and another sweater. The only thing I neglected to get were tights. Ugh, I’m never ready for winter.
I freaking hate packing.
I pushed off packing to take a quick nap after lunch. Then picked up the little guy from school. He had a depressing little episode when he realized that I leave for my trip tonight. He hates when I travel so I reassured him that I would be back on Monday.
A little pick-me-up. (Sidenote: no nips above, that’s my ring finger.)
I took another power nap and was out for another two hours. Then I hopped in the shower to wake myself up. There was a short list of things that needed to be done before I left. @bonni (@guthrie’s grandmother) would arrive Friday and I needed to make sure that the house was somewhat presentable. I was able to pack, pick up around the house, clean the kitchen, wash and fold the laundry within the timeframe before leaving. Crossing my fingers and hoping that the boys can keep it clean for another day. I miss them already.

Wait, you had a wonderful nights sleep.... took a nap before lunch... then a 2 hour nap later in the day?
Mhmm. I got to catch up on quality sleep yesterday. I think I slept for 6 hours without waking up, the previous day I slept maybe 4 hours with a 20 minute power nap.
After lunch I got to take a 20 minute power nap , woke up to get @guthrie and then I got to nap for 2 hours once I got the little guy from school.
I’m glad I napped because I was up till 4AM, slept until 6AM and then finally got to sleep four hours later.
I am trying to catch up, being in the midst of travel myself, so I need to read your previous posts to know where it is that you are going. Have fun, wherever it is, and enjoy yourself :)
I’m back in Chicago for the weekend. :) so far I’m having a pretty good time. Catching up on my sleep and snuggling with puppies. ^^
I think a trip has a lot of stress, things to pack and leave things pending.
