Bubble & Celestial Eyed Goldfish - I’ve named the big one Pikachu!
@dayleeo made a request in my last Goldfish Studies, asking if I’d expand my goldfish drawings towards the breed that has huge eyes. I’ve been out of focus (sitting here at @caffetto) because of the warm sun which continues to overheating my tiny little body. First world problems? Yeah, I know.
Despite my sensitivity to temperature, I’ve continued to work because I’m determined to stay productive today! Plus, @kommienezuspadt was kind enough to move the curtains, I’m so lucky to have such a considerate partner.
In my last post, A collection of incomplete work, I asked which image I should start working on again. It seems like everyone loves the baby donkey. 😭 <— me crying happy (internal) tears because I appreciate all the kind comments I’ve been receiving lately and this emoji expresses the dread I feel about continuing a drawing that I’ve dropped.
These new goldfish studies had me laughing to myself all morning.
I’d take little breaks to watch silly gifs like these. What fascinating creatures.
If you’re familiar with my last goldfish studies then you might notice that these sketches are much softer. In the my previous study I was using the Dry Ink tool (in the Procreate App) and today I’m using the 6B Pencil. I did use the same method for coloring/shading, which was done with the Round Brush tool on a lower opacity.
I decided to nickname the larger fish on the left Pikachu because of it’s slightly red cheeks. Maybe I should start coloring my animals with funky colors in a future post.

Happy little bubbly creatures are my fave so of course this had to fall in that category along with the donkey and baby elephant! I'd nickname this little school of fish The Bubble Cheeks! Hugs and always so thankful you share your talent with us pretty gal!
