wow..... 7 followers to go...
Thank you
Wow, I heading towards the 100 followers. A milestone for me on this great platform. Didn’t expect to be so soon. But what a ride so far. As most of you have seen I did already quiet some posting on the way. Some single post, a challenge here and there but also some series. Thank you for your support so far.
What’s my experience so far?
Steemit is a great way of communication with the world about subjects of each other’s interest. I already have met many people which I can relate to cause of the mutual love for (for example) music. I love to read all about the posts of fellow steemians about music, their own off from the bigger stars. But also the background of music, what does music means to you and why. I have a lot of situations where music means more than just the song, for instance a memory of a sad or cheerfull moment… Or just a certain memory for a special occasion. I just posted a post this morning in my serie “music is magic…music is emotion” about Abba about my visit to a concert of Abba in 1979 and how Abba (and why) played quiet an important role in my life….
I joined an contest to post 30 days in a row answering certain questions in the post (my latest day it is fun to do and you have a good subject each day to get you going on the platform.
What have I learned so far?
I definitely learned to read….read posts from fellow steemians. There is a lot of information and entertaining posts where my preference is in music and day-by-day things but especially blogs about steemians self. It is a global platform and sharing is still caring, so sharing information about eachother is for me kind of like the pen-palls you had back in the old days :)
For instance @drkent I just met the guy through his music posts, but this platform erases bounderies. You got to get in touch like a long distance call.. He broadcasts on Dlive and shares his own songs, that is something I admire and love to follow. The same goes for @melbookermusic , this guy is phenomenal on guitar and an inspiring and humble guy. That is what steemit is all about for me… To respectfully share and care.
I also have learned some more things about the platform itself, some handy tools to manage your account and all around it.
For instance, at first I didn’t know anything about steempower, steem dollars etc. Reading some good articles on steemit gave me an insight about what is all about. Not that I am in it for the $$, but it comes in handy to contribute maximum to the platform, again sharing is caring….
Are there any downsides?
I would not call them downsides, but what I’ve noticed is that when you use the search option, it is (although for me) hard to find recents articles. Mostly I found are some months old and probably outdated… Also I do miss an Direct message option, especially for contest like posts. It is hard to reach someone persone, but hey….I’m still learning…so perhaps I just didn’t noticed it.. ;)
For now, thank you very much for this platform… And I’m in for the long run… :)
