Ren du Lot had escaped. Of course, he had been invited to Count B's Isolexit ball, but as soon as he saw the troubles with Torundel and his female companion, he left in a hurry. He did not want to be involved in any shenanigans.

While going back to his place, he met one of his acquaintances which told him that Wolfgang Rastapopoulos had been arrested by the State Police. He was very worried to learn this.

Even though he thought that he had made no mistake in the Zizi Gougou business, he knew, having watched numerous movies on TV that reality had a way to ruin the best plans.

So, he decided to leave this shitty country the next day. He had already purchased several months ago a fake passport in the name of Ramon Letondu.

During the night, he packed all his things and burned all the papers that he was not taking with him.

The next day, he went to the bank and exchanged all his cruzeisetas for Bordurian kopeks. After returning home, he loaded his car, a Trabant equipped with Volkswagen engine and gearbox.

At ten-thirty, after saying goodbye to his landlady, he drove quickly to the Bordurian border. Goodbye, shitty country.
