pillars or landscape of my dreams
I do not particularly like modern urban architecture; I much prefer classical or "old fashioned" buildings, but modern architecture, especially of the desolate urban kind, intrigues me. It is part of the background I grew up in and, for some weird reason, the landscape of my dreams. I do not dream about forest idylls or small villages; I dream about malls, tunnels, large libraries and swimming pools, abandoned motorways. Stuff like this flyover-parking lot in Nottingham. Forgotten urban terrain with a melancholic feeling that it could have been a nicer place.
