At present it is almost impossible to know the truth about an event, between the lies of the media and politicians this is totally blurred. Something is for sure, whoever planned the attack expected it to be a global event, and succeeded.
Unfortunately at this moment it is difficult to know what has really happened. However, as we already know, the truth tends to come to light, it is only a matter of time.
As censorship increasingly impacts our sources of information, it is increasingly important to archive information as it comes to light, so that we are able to consider facts in view of the consequences we observe in hindsight.
Censorship can prevent individuals from having those facts, which can preclude understanding events in hindsight. Time and factual information are necessary for understanding. The passage of time actually occludes understanding without the ability to retain facts over time as hindsight imbues them with meaning originally unclear.
It doesn't even matter. While I hope it was a hoax, and not just a false flag, what matters now is that New Zealand is going to use this story to take semi-automatic weapons from civilians there. While it will not be proved that this was a hoax, it is provable that it is a psyop by Western Five Eyes military/intelligence agencies.

I believe the important action we can undertake now, besides archiving information as quickly as possible to retain proof, some of which has already been purged from the internet, is to counter the narrative that this was a deranged white man trying to stop immigration, and prove that it was an operation conducted by NZ's own government, in cooperation with international intelligence agencies to slide other news, disarm civilians, and generate greater outrage and sentiment supporting expanded military operations for Israel.
The payoff is higher, and the proof is available. An additional benefit is the outrage against psyops and government false flags that will enable greater pressure to dismantle the panoptic police states growing in power in the West.

Most people do not have experience with firearms, and thus have no frame of reference for grasping what you expect to be self-evident. OTOH, everyone has been lied to and misled, and is being harmed by that. Further, it does not even actually matter whether this was a hoax and false flag, or only a false flag.
Either way it was a false flag, and that can be proved. Interjecting speculation based on subjective interpretation of one source of evidence does not support beneficial agreement on evidence that is provable and harms everyone subject to oppression based on propaganda.
I do not condemn research to prove this was a hoax. I only point out that the claim acts to confuse the issue, and this prevents directly opposing oppression that is being effected presently to harm the public. Therefore I do not support the claim that it is a hoax, and stick to provable facts regarding the event, so that people being harmed can act to prevent that harm without being divided against themselves in yet another way.

i have no experience with firearms either, but i know that if a gunman attacks a crowd, there should be screaming and panicking, which you don't hear or see, at all.
i also know that when he shoots someone, there should be a bullet wound and blood coming out.

you really don't need any special training or knowledge, just common sense and a healthy skepticism about anything that gets splashed across the world's media.

Alas, this is not so. I was raised essentially a hunter gatherer, and ate what I killed to live.
As a result I am intimately familiar with firearms and their effects. I have shot the heads clean off deer and watched them run. I have shot holes in the hearts of prey and not found a drop of blood on the ground. I have chased them, thinking I missed, while they ran for miles until they finally died of internal bleeding.
Nothing is particularly provable from the compressed and artifact filled video I have seen - except that Tarrant had demonstrable military training in breaching and clearing buildings.
I cannot support a hoax based on the evidence I have seen. I can prove a false flag, and further, that this event is being used to further harm the people of New Zealand, as well as all free people in the world. The enemedia blare this event and propose disarming people as a reasonable, indeed, the only reasonable course of action that can benefit the people. Yet they dismiss multiple other attacks in which disarmed and defenseless people are preyed upon by the very Muslim culture that was the victim of this one, and of many more victims whose lives ended in blood and terror because of the very disarmament New Zealand and neoliberal governements across the world implement in bad faith.
Let us agree to consider any evidence of a hoax in this matter with reason and close examination, but also to fight for the freedom and security of our peoples by opposing the censorship, propaganda, and lawfare that seeks to make them even easier prey by speaking the truth about what we can prove.

There are distinct anomolies in the video footage but the release dates and timings in the Narrative on Sociual Media have been sloppy or buggy depending on how much slack one is prepared to cut the military industrial complex.
