Digital Image Writing Competition - The Devil's Captive - My Entry

Hello, fellow Steemit users. As per the contest organized, I am supposed to write a story regarding the image that is provided. So, without further ado, I am going, to begin with, my entry.

The title of my story is The Devil's Captive

The weather was pleasant. I had traveled quite a lot on my bicycle and was pretty far away from my town. Although, I did not remember when I began or how long was I traveling but I was on my bicycle. There stood in front of me a very peculiar hill. Something, I had never seen before. The hill had somewhat rocky dome-like structures arising from it at several places. I decided to go to the top of the hill. I decided to cycle my way there. I stopped on the way to examine one of those dome-shaped structures. It was a bit transparent but the inside looked pretty much empty.

I moved on with my cycling. I was starting to feel a bit of shivering and the place was turning out to be creepier as I moved ahead. Those dome-shaped structures appeared to have someone inside them, but when I went close to them, I could see nothing. As I reached the top of the hill, I saw a big gateway, on top of which was written, 'Welcome to Hell'. Then suddenly, the atmosphere became dull, cries were sounding from everywhere. I was frightened but what scared me, even more, was that there was a shadow of a monstrous being coming even closer from the other side of the gateway.

It had a huge body and wings like an angel. The from was demonic and very scary. It did not take me long to realize that he was the angel of death, Lucifer and he was coming for me. I was scared as hell and I got on my bicycle and raced down the hill. Then I noticed that the dome-shaped structures had people or rather their souls trapped inside them. I could very well see them screaming. Then, the chain of my bicycle broke and I toppled down. I was hurt in the knee. But as I got up and turned around, Lucifer had come very close and he grabbed me.

The next thing I know, I opened my eyes and I was in a hospital room surrounded by doctors and nurses. As I tried to get back. The doctor tapped me to go back and said to me, "Thank God, you are back, first you were unconscious from the medication but later we had lost you for a few minutes!"
