Compliments of the Season!

Beloved, it gives me great joy to share with you on this 29th day of December 2018. Since Thursday, I've in attendance to a Restoration Conference with my team @liltom002 @evegrace @prettyglo @giftakpan @imaluv54 @erbeebassie @zellypearl @godnewsokon @gee-edward @jahzy @mistafresh @emesjnr @rmikpi and its been a rewarding experience.

The Theme of the conference is Restoration of all things (Acts 3: 21) targeted at refocusing the attendees' to God's initial plan for our lives. God created man in His image in the beginning but the fall of man and the consequent sinfulness of humanity have brought man below God’s expectation. This made man lose the glory of God (Romans 3: 23). Satan was happy about this and he's all out to take advantage of the miserable state of man in sin.

There is goodnesws!

The birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ came as a defeat to Satan and the keys of life and death had been retrieved from him (Revelations 1:18). The king Eternal is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God in righteousness so that he will restore man to glory and then his refreshing will come from on high. When this happens, all things will continue as they would have been if man had not fallen.

In this blog, I will share with you part of the lessons which will highlight

  • An overview of restoration
  • What man lost through sin
  • Steps to get restored
  • Things God will restore.

What is Restoration?

  • Restoration means to give something back, to return something to its proper owner or place (2 Samuel 9: 7, 2 Kings 8: 6, Nehemiah 5: 11-12
  • Restoration also means to return something to previous condition or something to its previous position (Genesis 40: 1-13)
  • Restoration is giving somebody new strength or vigour (Jeremiah 30: 17, Isaiah 57: 18)
  • It may also mean to re-establish or put back something that was once existent but is no longer there (Psalm 51: 10-12, Revelation 2: 1-8, Isaiah 1: 26).

What did man lose through Sin?

Man had lost the glory that distinguished him from all other creation (Romans 3: 23 ). Man could no more enjoy fellowship with God. Sin made man to lose his dignity and control over other creation. Man who was meant to be a creator became a struggling being. Note that sin and departure from God could be very devastating. It can affect the land, animals and the people and the church. The heaven could rain dust and become brass. I fo not know whether you 've discovered where you are.

Steps to Restoration

  • Acknowledge the predicament as Nehemiah did in Nehemiah 1:1-4; Jeremiah in Lamentations 1:1-7; and the Prodigal son in Luke15 :17
  • Be personally determined and willing to return to God (Luke 15 : 18-21; Isaiah 1: 19).
  • Repent and confess (Acts 3: 19).
  • Return to God in humility and prayer (2 Chronicles 7: 12 - 18; Hos ea 10: 12; 2 Chronicles 15: 1-4; Deuteronomy 30: 1-3; Revelations 2: 5).
  • Return to the place of love, truth, righteousness and service (Revelation 2: 4-5; Psalm 45: 6-7; Hosea 10: 12).

What God will restore

It has been in the heartbeat of God to restore all things :

  • The joy of salvation (Psalm 51 :10 - 12; 23: 3
  • His Glory (Psalm 102: 6)
  • Truth
  • Righteousness
  • Love
  • Service
  • Wasted years (Joel 2: 25)
  • Health (Jeremiah 30: 17, Isaiah 57: 1-8, 2 Kings 5)
  • Comfort (Isaiah 58: 18)
  • Prosperity
  • All these things (name them) do you believe? God said it, and he will do it. Hosea 6:1-3

The Final Restoration of all Things:

According to Revelation 21: 1-4; John1 4: 1-3; and Revelation 21: 23-25, God will one day wipe all tears away and will make all things anew. There will be final restoration of man to his glory in a city where God himself had dwelt for his elect.

Conclusion

This is a call for us to consciously examine our lives, families, businesses, church etc., to know our stand. When this is done, we have to go to God Who is merciful and willing to restore all things. Ultimately, God will finally restore man to his original state and glory.
