4 Nasty Emotions You Need to Get Rid Of
Don’t you just hate it that after you might have done everything possible to accomplish your dreams, you still fall short? Imagine what it would be like if, on the threshold of achieving a life-long mission, one nasty emotion ruins everything for you. I am pretty sure you would be devastated, or even depressed because you slipped due to your inability to control your emotions. These controllable emotions make it seems you are in a never-ending battle since the same scenario keeps playing over.Don’t you just hate it that after you might have done everything possible to accomplish your dreams, you still fall short? Imagine what it would be like if, on the threshold of achieving a life-long mission, one nasty emotion ruins everything for you. I am pretty sure you would be devastated, or even depressed because you slipped due to your inability to control your emotions. These controllable emotions make it seems you are in a never-ending battle since the same scenario keeps playing over.
Let me be frank with you. Hurtful memories will stifle your growth and development if you don’t find a lasting solution to break-away from this insidious mental conditioning. How can you develop beyond these dark episodes that have found their way into your subconscious mind and influence your lives? How can you defeat these monsters so that you can live and achieve your dreams?
To get rid of these emotions, the first thing you need to do is to break away from these inhibiting influences of the past. You need to know that what is holding you back has its root in what happened to you in the past not present or future. Recognize these forces, turn them into a catalyst that pushes you toward accomplishing your goals. If I were you, I would know the difference between reacting and responding to an obnoxious situation. Reacting to an event means you allow it to get to you and control you while responding means you seize the situation and make it a source of motivation to forge ahead. Know that you are not the first person to be disappointed, maltreated, molested or unfairly punished. So, that should be somebody that deny you of your glory days. Forgive those who offend you and see their actions as a needed tool if you’re to achieve greatness. Don’t fixate on problems that you didn’t cause. It’s done. So, move on.
Okay, fine! You know you should move on but what are those emotions that you need to eliminate from your subconscious mind if you are to grow as an individual?

ANGER
We all become angry at a particular point but do you know that it depletes energy that could be used to improve your life if you don’t control it? Picture this! How do you feel when boiling with anger? You begin to sweat, your vision becomes blurry, and you lost your sanity for few minutes. Who is suffering here? You or the source of your anger? Obviously, it is you! Let it go. Help yourself by freeing your mind. Get motivated instead of getting mad. You will love the feeling and cherish the outcome of this simple but expensive act.
SADNESS
The simple truth is, we can’t escape being sad at one point or the other. God has His way of testing us and returning us back to Him after we might have strayed. Get this right; sadness is more harmful than anger because it drains you completely and saps your will to move on. I have figured out the best means of overcoming sadness and it is allowing time to heal everything. It is not easy to move on after a weighty trial such as the death of loved ones, failure in business, etc. But it is not worth it to grieve for too long since that won’t change anything. While waiting for time to heal your pain, seek out things that make you laugh and have a positive mindset towards what tomorrow has in stock for you. truth is, we can’t escape being sad at one point or the other. REVENGE
This another psychological illness that most of us are battling with. Revenge has its root in history, but we need to take control of this nasty emotion if we want to have a free mind. It is true that people who are the source of your predicament deserve a dose of the same medicine they fed you but will doing that make your dreams come true? No! Don’t allow the injury they inflicted on you hurt you further. See their acts as jealousy because you are doing good and inflict more pain on them by becoming successful instead of planning to pay them back in the same coin.
GUILT
This is another nasty emotion that significantly affects your dreams. You are not alone in this, all of us have done some horrible things we regret and feel bad about. Maybe you took a decision that boomeranged, or you didn’t do things you should have done. You need to know that you don’t have to carry the cross of the past everywhere you go. People may want to use your past to manipulate you too. Don’t let them put you on defensive mode and know that they are also not free of blemish. Let me tell you this! No matter what you have done in the past, it doesn’t make you less a human. Seek forgiveness from God and those affected by your past actions and never ever dwell on it again.
Getting rid of these emotions is easier than you think. Put the emotions into perspective and know that either being positive or negative, no one will feel better or worse but you. Reinterpret your past if it is still hunting you. Take your dream back from these emotions that hijacked them. It can only get better if only you know.
You don’t have to hold on to the past; you can’t drag that luggage along with you if you desire to reach your dreamland. You need a life that is free of bad memories from the past. LIVE YOUR LIFE AND LET THE PAST GO!
