RE: Airborne microbes Part 2: How many bacteria do we breathe in each day?

in #steemstem7 years ago

Good Post .....
I want to add some information there are millions of microbes that we get into our body but most of them are unharmful to us because we have immunity against them. Do you know we have millions of microbes living in our mouth as a natural flora. we have natural flora of billions of microbes (bacteria) in our gut and if this flora is disturbed by antibiotics our normal metabolism is also affected because we need bacteria for proper digestion of our food and here is the interesting thing thay make vitamins for us too in our gut like Vit B12 etc. But these bacteria don't enter our blood stream they remain out side our systemic circulation.

Only excretory thing that is sterilize is Urine because its filtrate of blood.

Thanks for the extra info. You're right that tons of symbiotic and neutral bacteria are within us. However, urine isn't exactly sterile. Check out https://steemit.com/science/@tking77798/mythbusting-with-metagenomics-how-scientists-disproved-the-common-belief-that-urine-is-sterile.

I checked it thanks for suggesting such a nice post but they didn't proved it that urine is not sterilized they are not quite sure about outside contamination. If you take a sample directly through bladder by a syringe it is sterilized so it can be postulated that urethra contain these bacteria......
