What Steemians Are Currently Talking About, Regarding Steemit As Seen In These "10 unMEAN sTWEETs"!

Here is what dear steemians are currently talking about, with regards to; "ways to shoot steemit and steemians to the moon!"

Please get involved in the comments!

Here are 10 unMean sTWEETs indicating what steemians are talking about currently, regarding the road map for steemit!

1. Has steemit really faced any dark times?

Below, we look at a very powerful comment and together we will dissect it. In the face of recent events on steemit; the experiments etc; things did become a bit shaky! However, can it be said that steemit has faced dark times?

In the pretty reliable words of @fuzzyvest:

Oh dang. Bitshares hard times were the dark times. People who complain on steem have seen nothing! But now we have amazing things going on there too! Steem is one of the first times we actually got to benefit from the tech we supported for so long. But many of us know we need to use the resources we earn to make more tools that the community(s) need.😄 @fuzzyvest

The entire model upon which steemit is build is: "mining with minds"

So earning is one thing; but how about sustaining steemit and creating an incessant dynamic steemit cycle?

Thus, a strong community of great steemian minds, "mining with minds" is key; irrespective of what's being mined! @unmean-stweets

Steemit has definitely given us many benefits! How about giving some back?

2. As per steemit and earning; what is the bigger picture?

In the elaborate words of @lukestokes

If a person made $3 USD a day on Steemit by blogging imagine what a 20% raise would do for their quality of life. The great part is that over time this person grows a following and their rewards continue to increase gradually. The key is consistency and quality. Over time we all improve if we do something repeatedly.

"That's so true, and it goes along nicely with the vision of many great cryptocurrency advocates: meet the needs of the poor and unbanked peoples throughout the world. It's so challenging to really embrace the "it's not about the money" mentality. The true value here long term is the community and providing value to your followers. The rewards will come to us all if we can increase that value". @lukestokes

Our quick thoughts!

When you look at it really intently and try to picture the bigger picture, it is obvious, even for not non-techy and crypto-novices, to see that the model upon which steem is built in genius. A blockchain, great minds and a conventional user-interface, along with a bank, zero fees and decentralization. What can't we create?

(The bigger picture and potential uses for steemit is glaring. We to take more look!)

Too, a level of trust and reputation can be afforded to a steemian by others as a result of the blockchain being bare and the existence of a community of witnesses.

If you kept your invention on the steem blockchain for instance, and a company stole it and eliminated all physical and secular evidence of your patent and you had to go to court, by yourself (no lawyer), the steem block explorer evidence and 5,000 steemian witnesses who can see the blockchain, to court; don't you think you will win any case?

#steemitisbeautiful

3. Does steemit still need to improve its interface?

"Oh look...., @denmarkguy said this":

Steemit must continue to add new features within the UI of the platform to make the community even more "sticky" to those who come here and check things out: "Oh look... they have this... and this, and this... and, oh look, THIS! Cool site! Oh... we we get rewards, too? Awesome!"

Awww, @denmarkguy killed it at the end, by managing to pull off illustrative humor!

So it is simple, "let's make steemit sticky!"

4. Does our loyalty to the steemit community and our persistent hardwork, have much to do with the success of steemit?

In the amazing words of our very own doctor @thecryptofiend:

Building any kind of following anywhere takes hard work and nobody should expect it to happen overnight. We should be welcoming to new users but there are other ways of doing that than simply throwing money at them. That is not sustainable though and once the money runs out those people will leave.
Those who are persistent and do good work for the community will eventually come to prominence. It may take time but it will happen. Thank you for making these important points.

Our doctor has said it all! We may need to actually 'stay for the community'! Earning takes different forms and there exist places on the Internet, where people pay for the community! So why earn 10 million rupees and leave steemit!

Do you research! Find out how many great things, one great mind and true friend can do for you! We have a whole growing community of that! @unmean-sweets

5. Sustainable Communities Vs Earning!

Well said, indeed! I cannot overstate the important of having the patience for organic discerning growth.
Yes, Steemit is unique...but let's not fool ourselves that we are somehow exempt from the darker sides of human nature... specifically greed. Let's stick to carefully telling people we know that this is a great social blogging/content venue... and that through contributions, community members can slowly become stake holders in the community.
In the meantime, we need to continue to build in more social features to make Steemit "sticky" for reasons other than just rewards...

Mine your stake on steemit, gradually! It is easy! Just look for new ways to mine with your mind. That takes loads of learning, experimenting, research etc; which in reality are slow processes!

Babylon was not built in 2 days! @unmean-stweets

6. When you analysis and visualize Steemit in your mind's eye; do you see steemit moon-rocketing?

Let's listen to @benjojo:

When all the good people are here and it's the only game in town we won't be able to keep the hordes away ;) No bribes...if you can't comprehend the value of Steemit yet, you are not ready for freedom and the rest!

This a radio station! The media just spoke! This is all plain to see. The question is:

When steemit is on moon, will you be left on Earth? @unmean-stweets

7. Since you joined steemit, haven't you given out gifts more than you usually would?

See what @r2cornell does! Here are his/her words:

I only offer a little Steem to relatives, to get them started. Then I encourage them and talk to them about what I am doing. Earning is secondary, because I see the potential outlet for so many creative minds. Great post. A lot to consider.

A key feature of unMEAN sTWEETs is to highlight the "giving and receiving" aspect or feature of the steem technology. This feature of steemit is luxury!

At zero fee:

 "5 steem/120k steemians = 0.00004167 steem"!

8. On Steemit, what does reputation have to do with anything?

"The modern attention economy will run based on proof of work as Reputation of its intelligent producing agents" @charlie777pt

Don't worry, reputation on steemit doesn't revolving around a pretty face! Each steemian can grow a reputation.

There are many testimonies as evidence of that! Kindly help enlist your testimonials in the comments!

In the meantime though, @surfermarly said this:

I think one of the great advantages that steemit provides is the equality of opportunity. Yes, the quality of an experienced blogger / writer / auther might outstand compared to an amateur. However, the great thing about this platform is that it doesn´t matter who you are or where you come from, your content will be measured in a new way. You can start as a "nobody" and become a celebrated "somebody" here.
"Your voice is worth something (if you are willing to contribute)."

9. Should steemit also taking particular interest in developing and under-developing countries in its marketing strategies?

@igster placed his thoughts in this simple comment:

Getting Steem to minds who live in poor countries would be a big thing considering long term effects.

Taking account of developing/under-developing countries in its (steemit) marketing strategy is definitely a key area to look at as in this area is where other social media platforms and even upcoming ones falter and i am pretty sure steemit identifies with this as we see many communities like Aceh; places in Africa and Asia; already being celebrated on steemit!

10. Do people really like a social media platform without Ads and has this attracted anyone to steemit?

See this comment by @jeremylqe:

I think Steemit provides a unique opportunity where people can share their views, opinions and lifestyle without that much worry about advertising. The part about blogging that annoys me so much, is the incessant advertising and content marketing strategies, that aim to promote certain products. I would very much like to see Steemit succeed as a blogging platform, although I am not much of a content creator myself. Wishing this community luck!

Is it for the same reason, that you fell in love with steemit? Do tell us you experience in the comments!

TakeAway!

What really is community and has the 'steemit community', been the attraction for some?

Hear the experience of @bilbop:

Enjoyed this, and agree. I came here for valued and creative content being rewarded socially and the fun of finding like minded folks while building community (common unity). Earning financially is an added bonus!

What attracted you to steemit? Was it the common unity? Do tell us you experience in the comment section below!

Did You Know?

@fuzzyvest organizes "Beyond Bitcoin Hangouts" every Friday that pay steem gifts to participants.

You are allow to talk during the hangouts, to show the steemit community as well as whales, what you are doing, that makes you deserve the trust and support that you desire.

@uwelang is the night's watch, today! So keep the conversations flowing!

Happy Commenting!

Hahaha, @uwelang, look at the bottom of the post, you will see i mentioned you as the night's watch! We have seen you steering the whale of @htooms. We have game on the other side #guessthecombo, try win it this time!
"unmean-streets", hahaha!

I did read it and therefore commented - am out soon now - it was fun but starting discussion on whales is annoying me. Take care my friend!

Yes, it is not an easy responsibility to be whale!

If i would be a whale i would be much harsher as people think about the current ones

Understood. These whales are humans too and who knows some may just have invested and not really known much about blockchain or steem to answer too many questions. They are just like regular steemians but with more investment into steem or steem power. i now get better how whales must feel sometimes.

Thanks for this interesting collection of commentary... seems to me that the best approach here is to simply be "good stewards" of the venue, rather than overexpose it just because we think we "need" rapid growth.

Oh, and thanks for the mention!

Yes, organically and everything else will naturally follow. First our own conviction on the platform and it potential will enthuse others in joining. Our own evident testimonies. And @denmarkguy, your comments are everywhere and really amazing comments too! Happy commenting! Thank you for the support as well!

I mean I just started on Steemit, and I've mentioned this before, but it is sooo much more enjoyable then any other social media I use, the potential for money is cool, but that isn't my driving factor. It's just fun being on here, and I have no idea what I am ever going to write about or what, but this site feels like freedom to do whatever and the community is beyond awesome. The only thing I can think of right now though is the layout does seem clunky, but thats at first and it kind of works once you get use to it. And the currencies need better explanations, I hate to say that the lure of money will bring people here but it will, and they will probably just leave as soon as they get here because, steem, sbd, steem power, and the savings systems are confusing and offputting, they arent explained all that well. Hell even I'm still a bit confused by them. They should be explained in a more thought out and concise manner. Lots of people will probably get turned off easily by the confusion.

Join us and we will try explain all this. Just say allow when you get on discord, we have a hello section and we will try to explain in lame man's term, to answer your question. The platform will improve with time but at this point, newbies will really need conscious explanation. So always feel free to bring any newbie to us to ask questions. We are glad you already get the feeling of home but there is so much more and really loving people out here to and giving is easy! Alot of learning and before you know it, you eyes will be opened to know worlds and knowledge which ultimately is earning. In the meantime, here is a simple explanation. When you post, you can get your earnings in variants, so let's say steem, sbd and steempower. Steem is liquid meaning you can transfer it to someone or already exhange it for other cryptocurrencies i.e bitcoin, ethereum etc. SBD is sort of liquid as well because you convert or sell for steem. However, SBD has almost fix rate tied to the USD. So you have 5SBD, you can easily say you have the equivalent of 5USD more or less. Steem prize however, isn't that stable yet and can go up and down. Steem power is not liquid. To convert back into liquid steem, you have to power down and doesn't happen instantly. It takes 13 weeks in installments. Steem power though is like your shares or stake in steemit and makes you like a shareholder because it determines you influence when it comes to curation and rewards. So the higher you steem power, the more influence you have on a posts visibility as well as it's potential earning and the more curation rewards you get from posts or comments that you curate or upvote.
Happy commenting!

I love this concept (so many great quotes!) and your endless contribution to this community, Terry!
Thanks for having me again. Sometimes it's like "when did I say that?" Haha :-D It seems that when we are posting on steemit we are in the flow and leave all these beautiful things automatically ;-)

This is such a great post! The comments here are very deep and well thought out which makes the post better just by viewing the comments! Conversations can spark from anything and there is always something to learn from other people! Open your ears or in this case your eyes 😊 @unmean-stweets

Exactly this, is what we are trying to hightlight. Conversation even brings out redundant inform kept in the head and the true sentiments in the heart: YOU. Too, steemit is build around creative minds who incessantly create new things, in essense mining their stake or steem power using their minds. Valuable comments inspire them, celebrates their work and keeps them creating. Too, comments create pathways to other parts of steemit and helps everyone cover territory! Some standalone comments constitute entire posts!

Yeah I totally agree! Keep up the good work mate!
