Suits season 9 is here!

Many of us have been waiting for a long time for Suits season 9 to arrive, and now it is here. On July 17th the final season of the show premiered on USA Network in the United States. Even though many people watch it live in the United States, the majority of viewers stream Suits on Netflix.

As you might know, Netflix in the UK is the official distributor of the show in the UK, and with Suits season 8, they gave access to the new episodes almost immediately after they were shown on TV in the USA. That is why lots of people have reacted because Suits season 9 still cannot be found on Netflix in the UK. What has happened?

Yesterday, Netflix in the UK came with a tweet in which they told their fans and followers that the new episodes will be released on Saturday's this time, instead of on Thursday's. So, we will all have to wait for a few more days, but that is still way better than waiting for an entire year like most other people using Netflix will have to.

What are my thoughts on the first episode of season 9?

This part of the article might contain some spoilers, so if you haven't seen the first episode yet, I suggest you go find something else to do! Based on the fact that I haven't watched the last five seasons (I stopped during season 3), it was quite easy to get back into the story and to understand what has happened. We quickly follow the story in which Harvey and Donna are in love and just spent the night together, following the crucial events in which Robert Zane took the blame for something he didn't do, simply to protect the others. Now the managing partners are forced from the outside to remove Robert Zane's name from the company name, but as they all admire him for what he did, nobody wants to remove his name. Due to this, all clients want to leave the company, and the Bar association also step in to get things back on track.

In a way, this is a stupid storyline, because even though he wasn't guilty, everyone would understand that they would need to remove Zane's name from the wall, even though they know he wasn't guilty and took the blame for something Donna did. As the world considers him to be a fraud, why keep his name on the wall? And when he stepped up and took the blame, he for sure knew that it would come with some consequences, including his name being removed from the company name. So - the basic storyline is kind of stupid, but hopefully, it will get better once the season gets really started.

There were some cool moments in the first season as well, for example, the box-match between Harvey and Samantha, coming as a consequence of Samantha discovering what Harvey did the night after Zane took the blame (he went to Donna).

All in all, I enjoyed the first episode and I look forward to the upcoming episodes, but I hope the basic plot of the season will become more reasonable and enjoyable in the coming episodes. And I do look forward to the arrival of Mike Ross who is supposed to return for the second episode.
