Ham house part I

I went along to the gorgeous Ham House in Richmond. It’s owned by the national trust and is a rare example of 17 th century architecture.

Gifted to William Murray by King Charles I in 1626, William and his wife Catherine, and later their daughter Elizabeth transformed the estate. The property manager to survive all the Civil Wars and parliamentary rule.

I definitely want to go back and catch the lavender garden when it’s in full bloom and the garden I think I was slightly early for all the flowers and I also didn’t get quite enough time to see everything as I wasn’t expecting it to be so large.
